My mom and I did not have a good shopping experience at this new store. We did not realize they closed at 10. The dollar general closest to us closes at 11. We never heard a closing announcement and about 10:12 two employees came to us and said we’re closed. We couldn’t even check out because they had already closed the registers. So we had to leave a cart full of stuff behind. Like how do two employees not realize when they close at 10 to check first thing for customers in the store or make an announcement and look for anyone still shopping.. If we could have purchased our items it would have been much better. We will not go back.

This is my second time to respond...first time was loss..Parking lots was trashy...broken glass..dumpster was running over...nasty cigarette butts ...everywhere...entry way was discussing...windows dirty..spider webs...I mention to the employee about these..and his reply was we sweep it but just can't keep it clean...When employees aren't busy..this would be something to pass their time...I normally visit one of the DG weekly...put a little paint on a old barn makes it presentable...thank you

Closed earlier than 10. I was there 5 minutes before closing and needed milk. Don't advertise 10 closing if you're not open until 10. Pretty pitiful.
