My opinion Knoxville tva credit union bank loan deptment need to be investigated because they will not take and loan a person who is fully disabled and loan because of there skin is w I was just told online bye a woman name missy and I have good credit if this bank doesn’t fire the woman name missy I will take my business some where else plus she said that the main ceo would not do anything to her that she tells them what to do .

Opened a new account. Associate explained everything very thoroughly while staying very personable. Kelly answered all my questions. She never once rushed our experience. She was very knowledgeable in her job and her ability to answer questions. Would definitely recommend this business.

Went to open a business account. Met Sydney F. and she was literally awesome. Can not think of a better banking experience! She took care of me! Even though I kept the branch open a bit past closing, not once did I feel rushed! Someone give her a raise, because she deserves it!

I’ve been with TVA since the early 90s. I currently use the Jefferson City branch drive thru. Lately I’ve been noticing when I go thru that the tellers aren’t very friendly. This morning I went to put my check in, sent it thru the tube, and the lady came on and all she said was “are you cashing or depositing” in a very very hateful tone. She then sent me my receipt back and no hello, no thank you nothing. This is very rude. I almost hit the button and wanted to say something smart but I didn’t. Her initials on my receipt is GFD.Edit: thank you for your prompt response. I spoke to Lisa the branch manager and she was absolutely wonderful.

I would never suggest this credit union to anyone! The customer service at all locations and customer service call center is horrible! Opened an account online and have been waiting for my welcome kit for over 90 days. Excuses every time I call. Wait time at branches is horrible and staff always unfriendly. The last time the rep rolled her eyes at me when I tried to ask a question. Can talk to 2 different people on the phone and get 2 completely different answers. Also will interrupt you and talk over you instead of listening or caring. Very poor customer service. There are too many financial institutions out there to do business with that will treat you right.

I used to love TVA, but in the past few months, my experience has been nothing but negative. Not only once, but TWICE my money has been deposited into the wrong person’s account, after handing them my membership card with my account number on it. This is extremely frustrating and both times I luckily caught it before leaving the parking lot. I am a server, so I frequently come in and deposit cash. A lot of times this is increments of small bills. I understand that this takes time and can be an inconvenience, but the tellers are repeatedly rude when they provide me with service. I always apologize and try to have my bills in order before coming in, but their attitude has genuinely made me want to switch to a different location or open an account with an entire different bank.

My only issue with TVA is the overdraft fee. If the money is not available -PLEASE don’t take it then charge me a $30 overdraft fee. If I couldn’t afford the initial payment, what makes you think I can afford an additional $30 fee?

I would highly suggest not banking with this institution. If you fall on hard times financially they will not work with you and they have no compassion in their hearts. My dog was very sick and they threatened to repossess my jeep over one payment and a partial payment being due. Not two full payments. One and a partial. I told them what was happening with my dog Roxie. I had to pay them the full and partial payment to avoid repossession that day. Every one struggles financially sometimes but this bank does not care what your situation may be. Jennifer with TVA even after knowing the situation with my dog I had for 13 years would not work with me. My dog passed this past Sunday morning 5 days after I had to pay on the Jeep to not lose it, two days after I had to pay on the single credit card payment I had missed to avoid going to court with them. I highly regret ever banking here and if you have pets you care for and think you could possibly fall on hard times one day, do not bank with TVA. As I said, they have no compassion in their hearts, you aren’t a person with pets and family you love to them, you’re just a credit score. Rest In Peace my sweet baby girl.

Switched from Online Banking to traditional brick and mortar Banking. Took two days longer to get my direct deposit. From the bank that claims, "Get your deposit up to 2 days early." Back to Online Banking, brick and mortar banking is obsolete...

She was very professional, and was truly supportive about the purchase of our new Harley-Davidson, and structuring our loan to our needs.
