“It's not a very big gas station ... but definitely pays off if you use food city's reward system. Thus helping you save substantial money in fuel when used wisely.”

“Good store. Managers on the floor working as much as regular employees. Just don't buy from bakery, bought a cake returned it once husband brought it home cause they did a horrible job. It was custom ordered... I kid you not 3 weeks later that same cake was in their cooler for sale still. So fresh cakes nope, I'll never get a cake from there again.”

“Since the new manager came in and the remodel this place is always clean organized. You can tell they work hard because if it's not on the shelf then they are out of it for the moment.”

“Prices are great. Can't say much for the checker Beth. Jeeze don't work there if you can't leave your attitude at home. Love the other checkers. Super friendly and nice.”

“It is interesting to revisit a place of prior employment, especially when it is one as debatable as Walmart. That said, a first is a first. I started working here when I was 16 or 17. Flexible hours (not to mention being able to transfer locations) helped me pay the bills while in college. I transferred to a location in Durango, CO while I was performing with the Durango Shakespeare Festival, transferred back to Jefferson City, TN to finish my first two years and finally transferred to a Memphis, TN location while finishing undergrad.People will always be different from store to store but what is something that should remain consistent for a company across all the storefronts within the brand? The answer is standards and expectations.I visited the Jefferson City location about a month ago and while it may have been due to holiday traffic, lack of staff due to a Covid spike or some other unknown the standards were concerning as the condition of the store left much to be desired as did waiting over 20 minutes to check out.My next visit on 1/29/22 showed a notable improvement in visual merchandizing, faster checkouts and a more readily engaged floor staff. It reminded me of how it was when I once worked here which is a good thing.Say what you will about Walmart but for some "lifers" like Sheila and my Mother (of 25+ years) it is their job and it makes me happy to see them and many others still enjoying the work place and helping improve the customer experience.A final note, I used to answer the phone here sometimes (yes, the phone was answered by a real person every time) and I would say "Walmart store 724 open 24-7 this is Nick. How can I help you?" Being open 24 hours is a lot but a real human being answering the phone every time is something people would notice as special. Maybe we will see these days return.Go store 724!”

“It was ok, they have totally rearranged the store. They have quick grab and go lunches as you walk in the grocery side. Think that's pretty cool, The thing I hated with a passion and they really didn't think this out was over in the pharmacy area where they have the vitamins. (I am handicapped, please keep that in mind and older in age). I went to stand up to reach for my normal vitamins and normally they are eye level or below they put them on the top shelf and when you are handicapped and have a frozen shoulder on top of being handicapped you can't reach things like that. I basically had to drive my scooter out and around to find help. Then the worker looked at me like why can't you reach that. I wasnt happy. Normally I have my husband with me but he was suffering from a gout attack at the time so he was doing everything he could to hurry out the store so he stayed at the register and I went on to get what I needed. Frustrating”
