Completely incompetent staff with zero social skills. Walked right up and stuck their heads inside my car, tried to grab my reactive rescue dog, and continued to insist my wife (a doctor of veterinary medicine) "doesn't understand animal behavior" as a pathetic excuse for poor handing of scared and nervous animals. When asked to stop, drop, or back up the incompetent staff ignored the dogs needs or feelings. Please adopt a dog, but we aware of the fools who run this establishment.

Went in for community service and was helped by Robin. She was a fantastic person to work with and the animals were adorable. The staff took care of dogs pretty well. My time spent with Bear, Braxton, and a few other animals were great. I'd highly recommend going to the Care Shelter and adopting the lovable friends

This is a nice place, and I highly recommend it; however, I did not go here today. Every time I go to the trash dump next door, it registers as a visit here.

Rescued the cutest puppy that had been abandoned with her sister both contracted parvo sadly her sister died but our baby survived. Definitely a survivor was dropped off on side of road contracted parvo and is still pushing. She had me fooled the day I first saw her in her cage not making a sound acted so sweet I fell in love instantly we named her Foxy which my old man's last name is fox but she does look like a fox. I thought she was gonna be so good and sweet lol the only time the Lil hussy is good is when she's sleeping. But we couldn't love her anymore than we do. So glad we went there.

I called CARE early Saturday afternoon after failing to find the owner of a stray dog on Facebook. They told me that they would be able to scan her for a chip and I brought her in 30 minutes later. The staff were friendly and helpful. They located her chip almost immediately and helped me find the owner who, as it turns out, lives just around the corner. This story has an even happier ending for me. The owner has been unable to keep up with this high-energy breed and agreed to let me adopt her. Thanks to the folks at CARE for helping make this happen.

Very hard-working and compassionate staff! We adopted Mollie 3 weeks ago and couldn't be happier. So many sweet animals that crave a loving home. We highly recommend this facility if you are searching for a new furry family member : )

Best place to adopt!I used to work there. I just couldn't continue. Injured animals broke my heart and I just couldn't witness that. But I give a LOT of credit to those who can and do help those precious souls.I recently thought my 13-year-old cat, D'Arcy, whom had been with me since his birth, had wandered off and died, I adopted a baby boy cat that was born and fostered at this shelter. I brought home Alydar D'Niro Scorsese to join 1-year-old Valentino Jalapeno DiToro (a baby I found).TWO MONTHS later? Sir D'Arcy Dollface von Feist was FOUND!!! ALIVE!So..... I encourage ALL cat parents to have hope. My 13-year-old baby was found alive after missing for TWO MONTHS!! And he is still with me, thriving better than ever!AND he has 2 baby brothers."My Three Sons"I encourage EVERYONE who reads this to adopt a cat, especially seniors and special needs, or keep, bring in, and love that stray cat that comes around your back door looking for food and love. You won't be sorry. Those kids give back love you never knew existed. And if a dog comes around? Please save them, too.

“Saving Grace”We recently adopted a wonderful dog at CARE that had been brought in by Animal Control. She had been severely injured and needed surgery immediately to amputate her shattered rear leg. That, by itself, is a horrific story that needs to be told about people that injure and abuse any animal. It is certainly Aggravated Animal Abuse and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The director of CARE, Mindy, and her staff were so very loving, attentive, compassionate and professional with our dog! Mindy even went above and beyond by taking her home at night to further care for her in her home. What these good people see on a daily basis is so sad and difficult to understand. They do so with courage and conviction and purpose, and should be commended and applauded. GOD BLESS and THANK YOU all for Saving Grace! ?

Those dogs are starved. Have worms, throwing up and have abnormal poops. Management is cruel and this place needs to be shut down. Dogs deserve so much better even in a shelter. They have dog fights because no one is paying attention to the animals. Dog have cuts on their feet and paws. Just completely cruel.
