I had corrosion around my battery cable and they wouldn’t clean it or touch my battery. Isn’t that what a part store is for?? They told me to go somewhere else and get it cleaned before they would look at it

I purchased a 12v battery from the Humboldt, TN O'Reilly Auto Parts Store. I had driven up from Florida to assist my elderly stepmother in getting her lawn mower working. Shortly after driving away driving away from the store, I noticed that the manufacture date of the battery was March of 2022. (It is currently September 2022.) I called the store on my cell phone and informed the male employee of the issue. I requested permission to exchange the battery for one more recently manufactured. He put me on hold and upon returning, advised me his manager said the store would not honor my request. I thought that was terrible customer service. I should have trusted my instincts and gone to NAPA. I won't be shopping at O'REILLY AUTO PARTS again.
