I love how my dog smells like cookies after we get her back. We’ve been going since 2018, and they do a great job, so soft, and in good spirits.

I am impressed with the Ark's set up. I think our dog has a good experience, since she doesn't get to mingle with other dogs too often. The Ark scratches that itch for her.

The Ark in Hixson staff are caring and animal loving who make my dog's day away a pleasant experience. The grooming services are the best!

We board here for every trip for two dogs and have not had any issues. Looking at reviews, you would think that it's a poor groomer etc. It seems there are a lot of Karen's with ridiculous expectations for their diva pets...

Brought my adopted shelter dog here for his assessment. I was a little worried at first because he is a bit timid and doesn't like loud noises but after watching him on the camera, my worries went away immediately. He was having so much fun and making friends. He will start attending The Ark weekly and hope it helps to bring him out of his shell and build his confidence. The staff at The Ark are amazing and they understand a shelter dogs needs. Shout out to Derek and Ava for taking such good care of my fur baby and helping him feel comfortable and welcome.

Henry has boarded regularly at the Ark Hixson since we moved to Chattanooga a year ago. He is always excited to go- even when he boarded for 10 days, came home for 2 and then went back for 4. The staff are caring and reservations and drop off/ pick up are easy. I'd recommend the Ark to anyone.

Such a wonderful crew! Every time I have had my dog groomed or boarded here it has been an amazing experience.I don’t have to worry about her being taken care of properly because they love her just as much as I do.I’ve tried a lot of boarders and groomers because Zoey is a pyrenees poodle and so she takes a lot of time and upkeep. They have been my go to!

Lilly and Genevieve had a GREAT day at the Hixson Ark location. I loved being able to check on them with the live cam and they loved playing in Doggie Daycare. ??

My little dog is less than 10 pounds, left her at the Ark in Hixson, TN... NOT A FAN! Had to leave my little schnauzer this past weekend, I noticed she was not fed until 9:00 am or little after. The treats I brought for her to eat were not given to her. I am guessing this is just a job for the employees, not heartfelt care for the animal. I was extremely disappointed. I emailed the Ark and no response. After emailing back in Monday, I got a reply with a photo clip of the hours they work specifying the feeding time would fluctuate. I had already read this; however I pointed out a total of (2) employees were taking care of cats which were not many, I believe there may have been a total of (2) cats I saw on the camera, while little dogs were waiting in their cages to be fed. Finally I saw at 8:47am when food was left on top of the cage as they were distributing , I snapped a picture of that to record the time, the food sat there until almost 9:00am. Very upsetting to watch. However it is ok, I will NOT be bringing my baby back to the ARK. I feel everyone should be aware before you bring your pet to the Ark in Hixson, TN.

MUST READ IF NEW:Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. As somebody who only use this doggy daycare, one time, I still would not recommend anybody. As my dog was new, I was told I had to bring him in early for a “assessment “as they have cameras that assessment was basically him just standing by himself until other dogs have got there (which took an hour) they seemed very disengaged from the dogs unfortunately. Another thing to mention was for their “nap time” is just the pups put up in kennels for in my experience 3 hours … if I wanted my dog to be sitting alone I would’ve kept him at home. As with sending your dog anywhere you have the risk of them getting sick, my pup has gone to doggy daycare before and NEVER has been sick. Went here once and was diagnosed with kennel cough. They clearly don’t keep it as clean as I would’ve hoped. As you go for a bigger company thinking it may be better it will always be worse.

So happy we found The Ark in Hixson for Taz! The staff is so caring & loving, the facility is clean and comfortable. No more days locked in a kennel with little to no "free" time. Taz loves the Doggy Day Care. We travel and sometimes cant take Taz. Boarding is just a long doggy day care day and he is lovingly cared for. LOVE LOVE LOVE everything!

I've had a mixed bag of experiences over the years with the Hixson location. In late summer of 2021, if I recall correctly, I boarded my dog for about 5 days. He caught kennel cough and began having hip issues. As with another review I read, my veterinarian also told me they had treated several dogs from that location for kennel cough. My dog is a senior and he has recovered. However, a couple of days ago I dropped him off for grooming. I've recently been grooming him myself, but I wanted his legs and paws trimmed nicely which I can't seem to do very well myself. The charge was $71 and I left a $10 tip. And then they brought my dog out. His back looked all gapped up, and tonight I began fixing what the groomer messed up and also brushing out the hair that was apparently too troublesome for her. Granted, my cocker spaniel's hair can be really dense and difficult to brush out, but it was not matted. it did have little knits which I discovered was still left in place after shelling out $81. I brushed out quite a bit of undercoat hair as well. If she felt his hair was in a bad state, the Pet Ark should have called me and declined the job. I've had very good experiences with the grooming and bad experiences as well. I've often requested a specific groomer, because I liked the cut. But I can no longer justify paying $80 for the "life is like a box of chocolates" experience. This facility has numerous negative reviews, and based on what I've read, there seems to be apologlies but no refunds for the sub-par performance and mistakes. So I hope the owners aren't surprised when they have to close their doors. I want to support Hixson businesses, but it's time they step up and start providing the customer with quality services. Recently there was an article on the news about all the businesses in Hixson that had closed over the last couple of years. I had patronized quite a few of them. Common theme: poor customer service, poor quality of product. In short.... The no cares! Unfortunately I feel the Pet Ark of Hixson may be headed down the same road. Perhaps I will be back, but I'm just not sure. I am mad that I spent $81 for something I had to end up doing myself anyways. So it's doubtful I will be back. I've given them too many chances at this point.
