What an awesome store. I love their produce selection and they have a fantastic meat market. They cut their own meats and it is always fresh. They are locally owned with several locations but the Hixson location is my LOA.

Not flavorful and carnitas were sliced like fajitas size. The parking lot is abandoned looking. Nothing special to look at. Hole in the wall that I will never go to again.

I've had good experiences the times I've been here before. I don't like to watch people while they work, but I guess I should have this time. I got two things I didn't order, but it doesn't seem like a place where you can get a refund and everyone working there seems upset/angry. So I didn't try to get my money back and just gave the food to a homeless guy. Probably won't go back.

Awesome spot. I normally go to the one on Broad Street, but have been to this location a couple of times. It's much bigger and therefore has many more options. I really need to come here more often for meat and produce. The prices are more than fair, and they have produce that you can't easily find in traditional grocery stores here. You can buy prepared food too. Real authentic Mexican food. My favorite is the barbacoa meat. In tacos or burritos. I don't cook a whole lot in the summer, as my kitchen gets super hot, so the option to buy already prepared, and freshly prepared at that, is great. Don't be intimidated that you don't speak Spanish or that no one will understand you. There's always someone that speaks spanglish.

Meat Dept- get any cut of meat marinated for free. We buy the carne asada (skirt steak) here. One of the few places in town that sells beef short ribs cut long ways I use it to make Korean BBQ short ribs)! Also try their marinated meats like wings, al pastor, and fajita meats. Easy to grill at home! Must try their dry aged chorizo... you'll never go back to regular chorizo again! Also, they have fresh salsas to go! Produce - 5 limes for $1! Cheapest place in town! Groceries - pick up the smaller taqueria style corn tortillas here. Taco shop - decent tacos. Pick up some fresh pork rinds! Must order and pay at the front cashier... sometimes they don't speak great English; time for Google translate app! Clean and sanitary store.

English/Spanish review:
If you are looking for the real Latin vibe, with food and people you must visit Loa's stores. I can find not only Mexican goodies but also items from Costa Rica!! That makes me feel at home. They even have plantain leaves!!! so this year I can make Costa Rican tamales
Their food is delicious, specially the soup on Loa' s 11.

This is an authentic Mexican market with tons of imported products from the mother land. Not only do they have incredible cuts of meat at the deli/butcher section, but also have a great selection of produce -- all for very fair prices. Inside the carniceria a restaurant with excellent authentic food including tacos (street style), flautas, tostadas, gorditas with various types of meat including carne asada, carne al pastor, etc. All food is very reasonably priced to down right inexpensive! It's a great Mexican dive that has to be experienced at least once. But be warned it may be difficult to order if you don't speak Spanish but the cashiers out front might be able to help you out.

Super Carniceria Loa #11 is like a wonderful 2 punch delivery of groceries and fantastic food to order! Why the latter? Well inside is a restaurant that is so delicious! I've ordered the Sope there a few times now, and they are both very affordable and muy auténtico! Plus there's a salsa bar with fresh cilantro, pico de gallo, and other excellent toppings that accent the already amazing food perfectly. My only complaint is that I'll try to order certain items on the picture menu, and they don't always have the food for certain items on the day of so last time I went through 3 items before going to one I knew they had in. Everything I've had is good though so it's not like I was truly upset, but just keep that in mind in case you set your heart on an item and they don't have it. Now for the grocery store itself let me just say people should shop at Mexican grocery stores more often as the prices are wonderfully low compared to most grocery stores and the vegetables especially are just as fresh if not fresher too. Very comparable to farmers markets I'd say. They also have a lot of items that I have come to love but are hard to find in grocery stores, including really amazing corn tortillas and Cajeta for starters. If you're into cooking a lot of Mexican food yourself too they have quite the cheese selection. I'm afraid there's still a lot of the store I've yet to explore, even after a few visits there, but as it's still comparatively new I'm just happy to have it here at all and I look forward to checking it out further.

Finally, a mercado close to home! Good fresh selections in the grocery and the in-store restaurant is really good and inexpensive. Friendly staff as well. Check it out!
