Hands down the best customer service in town. Joshua is very knowledgeable and will special order wine etc… at a very reasonable price. If you haven’t shopped here before, do yourself a favor and stop by to see Joshua and family. Extremely nice people!

Joshua is the BEST, as is Hixson Liquor’s staff in general - wonderful selection of all of my favorites & always something new to try! I highly recommend visiting Hixson Liquors for all of your spirits & wine needs! 11/10 recommend!

The owners/employees are super friendly and helpful and the selection is amazing for what some would call a smaller liquor store. The only issue that we have run across is them actually being there when they open. Three times now I have gone there on a Saturday between 11-11:30AM and the doors have still been closed. I tried calling and was not able to get anyone.

I ordered a 750ml bottle of whiskey for doordash delivery and they gave me a 100ml little can?! I'm confused. I've ordered delivery here before and they have gave me the wrong item before too. I think the owner is scamming by putting a higher quantity alcohol on doordash and then sending a lower quantity. I've been in person too and he's weird and talks too much. He won't let you shop alone and tries to upsale you. The parking lot stays empty and I see why. He begged me to tell my friends about his store because business is bad.Edit: Just ordered a different bottle because the 100ml was too small for me. They just gave me the wrong flavor. I'm done with this store for good this is ridiculous. This store was my only option tonight since it stays open late on doordash.

I stopped in to get some beer. I found a small section of them in a cooler toward the back of the store. The person working there shouted from the front "what kinda beer you looking for" which is awkward as hell to shout across the store but whatever. I tell him what I like and clearly not having anything I want (cause I've seen the selection) he starts offering me cider beers and this and that. He pointed out the blue moon and while I like and wanted to buy a wheat beer, blue moon isn't my taste (I'd prefer shock top), I made a comment about it being an anheuser-busch product, as I thought it was. He corrected me and told me it was Cherokee. Which, to someone who doesn't work in a liquor store or deals with liquor distribution, means absolutely nothing. He told me he'd show me a receipt and walked off. I looked at this beer he had pointed out and thought it may be interesting. He comes walking back, makes a comment about the beer I was eyeing, and shows me the receipt, which says Cherokee distributing. I said yea, that's the distributor though. He got upset and told me very sternly that "anheuser-busch is tri state distributing" or something like that and "if I wanted to debate someone next time I should do my research" LMAO!! Needless to say, if you ever go here, don't bring up bud light or anheuser-busch because this dude gets super sensitive about it. Maybe I should have asked him his pronouns.

Great Family Owned Store, No Longer Cj’s! New owners are very friendly. Always give good recommendations. Have Great Selection Of Bourbon & Cigars. The photo is just of the limited stuff they had in the front that day. Theres a whole back wall with so much more bourbon. Will definitely be back!

Stop in the store to check there inventory. Found a bottle, they were 20 dollars higher than there competitors. That explains why there are never cars there when I drive by.

Came from California and was looking for specific alcohols, especially tequilas they didn’t carry it, so the owner asked me what I was looking for, and I told him. He got on the phone ordered a case of it as well as asked me if I needed anything else special he ordered and I told him absolutely pepper vodka, which is very hard to fine in California. He got back on the phone and told me he has an order for both cases I was floored. every time I go in he’s always giving me different suggestions of what he thinks I might like and I always try it. As I’m getting settled in I need to stock my bar so you bet I will be back there with my list. Would highly recommend these two owners are awesome and very well stocked. If you don’t see what you want ask them I guarantee they will get it. Rebecca.
