i’m very upset about the way they just dismissed my mother. She is having very bad seizure to the point where she stops breathing with some of them and the refused to help her because “ it can be treated with medication at home” . The only way she doesn’t have seizures is if she’s is heavily medicated . I find it appealing how they didn’t even TRY to help , It’s like they didn’t even care. If you work in healthcare you need to be able to provide every patient with options on how to move forward and if you can’t LEAVE the industry. WE NEED BETTER HEALTHCARE IN THIS COUNTRY .

This used to be one of the ERs in town but not anymore apparently! We were there for 24 hours and only got two tests done. They didn't even get them a room just kept saying they were the whole time. One reason it took so long is they want to do a MRI had them sign the paperwork and everything then NEVER ORDERED THE TEST it wasn't until 6 hours later the next shifts nurses realized it! Then once the test was done we waited and waited and waited for someone to read the test finally about 5-6 hours after the test was done they said someone read it and will be down to give us the results cue 5-6 hours of more waiting we walked out before we got the results because once again it had been 24 HOURS WAITING IN A HALLWAY SINCE THEY WERE ADMITTED! after talking to some friends that have been recently they had bad experiences as well. I will not be going back to this ER of my own free will ever again. My doctor's offices are on this hospital as well and even though I like them I'm contemplating finding new doctors outside of this hospital. If you have a choice choose another place!

The nurses is what make this place, while I have had the best nurses, the drs lack any rush or getting you seen ive been waiting all night and was supposed to have had a room when I arrived yeah right, was supposed to have a breathing treatment both last night and this morning haven't, supposed to have a test about pulmonary embolism and yeah still just sitting here!!! I wouldn't come here again for nothing, ill stick to Skyline or Vanderbilt!!! The room is nasty the lids and trash all over the floor!! You will die waiting..Do not call Becky at the number given its plain to see calling Becky does nothing!! I think all of us just need to report them to the board it either needs to be shut down or only the people that know and care about ehat they are doing need to be hired! Do better! Congress might be next!

My daughter n law had a very bad experience last month. I will not give many details for respectful reasons. She went to emergency for an abdominal pain issue, after diagnosed, was taken to surgery then the next day in recovery she developed a severe infection that led to 2 more unnecessary surgery's and had to have an open wound to clear up infection. All this I believe was due to the simple fact that no antibiotics were administered after initial surgery. The lack of care, unexperienced staff, and lack of empathy led to a longer stay, recovery, and overall stress for her and our family. I was very sad and dissapointed in this hospital. Luckily and for the Grace of God she recovered. However, we will no longer consider this hospital for any emergency needs in the future. Please do not ask us to call for feedback and/or explanations. I just need to give review so that future patients can really think about their options before they decide to use Tri Star. I am sad just to even make this review and hope and pray no one has to ever go through this. Unfortunately , A simple surgery turned into a nightmare for us at this hospital.

They can't staff what they have and they are building more!?!? Maybe if they didn't pay so little they would be competent help in plentiful numbers.

I've recently been diagnosed with Parkinson Disease. Some of the symptoms is low talking and difficulty swallowing. I started to see a speech therapist at Tristar Summit Outpatient Rehab Services. My therapist is a young woman named Jaiden Farr and she has been wonderful. Very easy to work with and so encouraging! She's given me several articles about different aspects of PD which I think go above her call to duty. She has definitely helped me in both swallowing and in speaking clearer so others could hear me. I highly recommend her!

No one likes to be in the hospital but this group and observation made it so pleasant. Everyone was so helpful with great attitude and urgency I was very impressed with the way everyone conducted their job I cannot stress how nice everyone was. I have never had a better experience in the hospital I do not have the words to express how grateful I am for all of those that were involved. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me I am in deep debt to all of you I think wish I could repay thank you again all of you.Martin koller- observation room4

I went to the emergency room with full body weakness, fatigue, and coordination problems back in August. I was there for several hours, during which all they did was test my blood, urine, and a chest EKG. When that didn't show anything, I was not offered any plan for possible alternative causes or additional testing, nothing. I was discharged with no answers and a casual and dismissive "So...ready to go?". Then I saw that the doctor, who I saw maybe five minutes during the several hours I was there, lied on his report, saying I was discharged because my symptoms had improved during my stay, which wasn't true, and that I "didn't want further testing", which isn't true. For the record, I was having a Multiple Sclerosis flare-up for the first time, and every medical provider I spoke to afterwards agreed that fatigue and coordination should have prompted a neurological assessment. Every person I spoke to about my experience said "that sounds about right for Summit."So in summary, they did nothing, found nothing, solved nothing, lied about it, and then still had the audacity to try to bill me over $900. If I ever need an emergency room again, I would literally rather die in the back of an ambulance on the way to a better hospital, than ever come back to this place.

Absolutely the worst service we ever experienced at the Tri Star Emergency room. My wife was in serious pain and bleeding while pregnant. We went in we sat in the waiting room majority of the night. When they did take my wife to go have an ultrasound while I was getting them our insurance information. When I got done the guy at the desk told me I could "not" go back there to be with my wife.A doctor and a nurse at that time asked her what was the issue she told them she was pregnant, on a scale from 1 to ten having pain at a 12 and bleeding. We never got results from ultrasound, and never got a room and sat in the waiting room for the remainder of the time.At around 2 or so in the morning I asked the guy at the desk if a doctor was going to take us back he said they'll be with us when a room is available which sometime after we decided to leave. The worst and they charged my insurance over 5 grand for a doctor asking what's wrong and then making us sit in the waiting room the entire night. We were not discharged but simply walked out due to poor service.I am beyond offended at the service then after our insurance gets a bill for 5 grand from them which I feel is ridiculous my insurance should have to pay that. Now we get sent a bill for over $400. Which they won't remove which I will pay but I do not recommend. We will never ever go there again.

This was the worst experience of my life to date. I was completely ignored from the moment I walked in the door. I begged to not take up a room because of my low threat condition, they did it anyway. I then watched the "doctor" go from room to room until all the patients that were in the waiting area with me get discharged. This facility is a stain on our healthcare system. Fix it.

I’m just blown away by the staff here; everyone is so nice/sweet. I was never made to feel like a bother or burden. I just had a C-section yesterday (12/1/23) and am so happy I gave birth at this hospital. There were so many nice nurses but a huge shout out to the traveling nurse Natasha and nurse Merrill.

The Doctor who's name is Dr.Z is really great. He took very good care of my mother. A nurse named Megan on the 8th floor took awesome care of my mother. All the nurses and doctors and X-Ray department the lab dept. And The kitchen staff were amazing. If I lived closer I would use this hospital for sure they have amazing people working here.

If you are a pregnant woman with severe back pain, DO NOT COME HERE!!! My wife has been put through hell and back dealing with this institution. You will get different treatment and suggestions every time you come here because there is no consistency between doctors. You will wait 3+ hours to be told they can’t do anything for you. There is no communication between doctors, even if they have you charts or prior treatments on file, if you get a different doctor with a different personal opinion on what THEY think is right, it will differ from the next. We left Summit and transferred to Vandy and I cannot express the positive difference in one review. If you live in Wilson County, even if it’s a little farther drive to get to Lebanon, I PROMISE you it’s worth it. Summit is trash and I’ve had multiple family members leave their ER because they sat there for hours before anyone came to even begin questioning. I truly hope this review is seen by someone with authority to make a change, but based on our experience, it might take several months before any action is taken. AVOID SUMMIT AND GO TO VANDY
