I have genuine mixed feelings about this place….. I will say i’m very upset about the fact that they replaced barnes and nobles with a damned gym. There are so many gyms around this area but not many book stores. Although yes, the stores around the area are ok, i will admit the only store i ever went to there was barnes and nobles. It was also the cheapest store in the area ?. I’m also upset about the change of the splash pad. They changed it to a stupid fountain? My little sisters loved going to Indian Lake all the time to play in the splash pad during the summer. However now that it’s a fountain they can’t. I am genuinely disappointed with the recent changes to this area I used to call home. If only people really understood what they’re about to do before doing it….

I am still in shock by the decision made by the U.S. Properties Group to NOT renew the lease of what was the heart and soul of The Streets Of Indian Lake Shopping Center....our local Barnes & Noble bookstore. You took away the one store in the shopping center that was so beloved by the local community and was also a destination by book lovers in the surrounding counties, as well. You advertise the center as being "community-oriented"....but please tell me how you can say that after taking away the main store that was a centerpiece of the shopping center when it opened some 16 years ago? Now, the center has no heartbeat and no soul to it....what a cruel and heartless decision. SHAME ON YOU!!!

The greedy decision made to withdraw the lease for Barns and Noble to add a gym is disappointing to say the least. Barns and Noble was in a great location and offered books, magazinesand so much more for all ages. The gym being placed next to live music, shopping and a ice cream shop makes no sense.

This area makes a person want to move to the neighborhood. They were playing some really good music, families were playing and dancing. The shops were awesome. The whole atmosphere is very welcoming.

I like the variety of stores here! I found two robes on sale at Victoria’s Secret. they were 60% off plus end up costing $52 for two robes that is really good price. Pizza is my mom’s favorite. Now we prefer Sam’s pizza but they got pizza at Indian Lake Streets.

I’ve been going to Barnes with my mom and dad since I was a little, playing with train tracks that was my favorite memory there, but now it’s getting replaced with a gym?! Like cmon now that’s my childhood store , and a lot more teenagers like me grew up excited to go to Barnes and noble to go play and go read books for example my mom would always read me “llama llama” in Barnes and noble and just like that, it’s gone , never going back to streets. Y’all are going to regret getting rid of that store.
