I take my dog to the groomers here regularly and they always do a good job. Couple areas I wish they would touch on, but overall great job and excellent service.

We went with my 10 month old daughter. She loves the animals and the fish. She got to see a few kittens up for adoption and had a great time chatting with them. The staff in the fish area are top notch! Even informed us of a sale on the tanks. Good day!

New manager is just rude shopped in this store every two weeks for 3 years been a vital care member since its inception. Never had a problem until he took over the store he lost his best Groomers Rachel and Chaslyn who told us it would go down hill once he took over and yes it has the store often looks terrible and any interaction with him is a fight. He has a chip on his shoulder and should not be in customer service. Here is some advice Fire this guy and get your groomers who actually did the job correctly back.

I previously wrote a review stating that the parakeets wings are VERY clipped and they are banded with metal clips. I still have this bird ( I know the animals that come here are from local breeders, and nothing can be helped over certain aspects) but if you could AT ALL offer a tool to take the band off that would be great. She's caught her foot a few times and I constantly worry she may be harmed over it. She tries to chew it off as well, even after 6 months of her wings growing in and is sensitive in that area. Is that something your shop could offer to people who want to remove them?

My wife and I buy a lot of supplies for various pets each month. Recently, we needed some speciality food and vitamin products. When we looked them up, on Petco's site, they had a cheaper price than anyone else (it seemed). I took screenshots and we went to the Hendersonville store and purchased everything. After looking at the receipt, we soon realized we were charged double for those items. I called the store and talked to the girl who answered. She was extremely matterof fact and explained that "sometimes" they match the prices on THEIR website, IF you have screenshots (which we did). She was quick to point out that we could not return the items and discount was only available at time of initial purchase. To say she was rude and condescending is an understatement. I suspect Petco does this to many customers, but we just happen to notice. It's a bait and switch tactic. On top of that, they charge you for the plastic bag (sack) to carry your purchases out in ! They explain its "California law", even though this is Tennessee. So beware fellow pet owners. There are much more honest pet supply stores in the area who are friendly, have up-front pricing, give you a bag and appreciate your business, but avoid Petco ! Again, we buy a ton of pet products monthly and make constant donations through the local stores for the shelters. We won't do it here again. You've been warned !

The groomers here SUCK!
Tell them what kind of haircut and the shaved my doodle BALD.
I will never go back. I even tried to get my tail back because the groomer does not deserve it.

New manager sucks. Older staff was amazing! We come here every 3-4 weeks for our doodle and older dog. Always loved the grooming staff and overall staff. Until today, I’ve called and left vm for days to get our doodle in. We figured they were busy so finally decided to walk in and try to get him scheduled since we’re over 2 weeks behind. The staff in the grooming department (I believe she stated she’s the manager) decided to be rude because we walked in for an appt rather than calling and scheduling. I understand they’re busy but that doesn’t give anyone the excuse of being rude for walking in after multiple vm left. We didn’t expect same day service just an appt. A simple “I’m so sorry, I’ve been on a vacation and we’ve been busy. Let me check my next availability.” Instead we got “we don’t accept any walk ins and you should’ve called/scheduled.”

Went to pick up some pet food and noticed rat feces on top of all the cans. I immediately went up front to tell an employee and they weren’t suprised. I was told they had a very bad rat issue and that not everything has been cleaned up yet. SICKENING! I have never seen such a business. What a shame you are in Hendersonville.

My trainer was perfect. She is kind and patient. The problem was the next day when she called to say that our 9 weeks old puppy couldn’t come to class because his vaccinations were incorrect. I was told that he couldn’t come until he has his second round of shots. But according to the website. There was an 8 week old puppy class option, when puppies are not eligible for shots until 8 weeks. The misinformation caused for a difficult experience when I was called to be rearranged. The website needs to be clearer on qualifications. When I was called prior to the class, those qualifications were not mentioned this needs to be changed to accommodate these requirements. Proof of vaccination requirements should be required prior to classes and payments

I was just at the Hendersonville,TN Petco. I was upset that they were charging 10 cents for the plastic bags at the checkout. I think this is ridiculous since I was making a purchase bag should have been included.

I was unsure what to feed my dog, she allergic to grain. The employee there told me a brand and actually fed it to her animals. Wish I'd gotten her name.

I’ve been to this store many times through the years. Since the covid19 pandemic, things just haven’t been the same. Items show a hook and tag on the shelf but for a couple of years now, the turkey tendons are not stocked. I’ve asked and have even showed up when a shipment has come in as directed by staff. I was told Petco was rebranding and they may no longer be carried, yet here we are well over a year later and the vacant spot is still on the shelf. Recently, I went in to buy some feeders for my leopard gecko. The container advertised 12 live dubia roaches with at least half of them being dead. I searched through the containers looking for better options. I found several containers with molded food blocks. I found containers with every insect inside being dead. I asked the associate at checkout if she was willing to discount the cup as $10 for 6-7 insects was a steep fee. She went back to the shelf to help me look for better feeders with no luck. She asked another employee/shift manager and they did not agree to discount. This will be the last time I shop at Petco though. I don’t expect anything for free, I’ll happily pay $10 for twelve live feeders. I would have waited if they had offered to swap cups and add live dubias to my cup from another but they did not seem interested in finding a solution. The young woman tried to be helpful but if that’s Petco’s standard for feeder insects, I truly won’t be back. I’ve also noticed that during shopping hours, carts of stock are left in the aisles left and right. It makes it hard to navigate the store. The Petco 5 years ago was way better than the Petco currently. It’s such a shame too.
