Nice gym but sleazy business.
Trying to cancel my gym membership has been a nightmare! I do not recommend this gym to anyone, and I actually warn my friends and family to stay away.

One of the best Crunch gyms! The gym is always spotless, and Gregory Jackson, the GM, was invaluable in my cancellation process; I was impressed by the service.

There shouldn't have been any reason why it took months to try and cancel my membership. I had a membership over a year and without any notification, my membership doubled. I called and asked for the manager and he wasn’t no help at all, I emailed him and no didn’t reply. I went into the store trying to cancel and they told me they couldn’t do it, you have to do it online or call?!? Long story short I wasn’t able to do it online, it wasn’t letting me. Why couldn’t they just helped me after I drove 20 mins to cancel my membership? I eventually had to call the head quarters to get it resolved and it was finally fixed. Never could get answers on why I was charged double though. Wouldn’t recommend it, it’s not worth it anyway.

I’ve been a member of this gym for several yesrs now, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience! The facility is always clean and well-maintained. Plus Edwin is always welcoming in the early morning and greets all the members by name. Highly recommend!

Dishonest Practices and Retaliation – Avoid This Gym
See my earlier review where Crunch messed up billing, tried to hide it, and then lied to terminate my membership. Now they’re replying to my review asking me to “contact them”? 😆
Who am I supposed to contact?
Greg, the guy who retaliated against me after I pointed out their illegal practices and blatantly lied about me?
Or Chris Lee, the so-called regional manager(VP?) who blindly supported Greg without doing any actual research, just to protect an employee?
This gym is a joke. They don’t fix their mistakes, retaliate when you speak up, and then try to save face in public. Don’t waste your time or money here. 😆

Pathetic. That’s the take away. Asked to cancel membership and was given the incorrect email and phone # to do so. They then admitted they were aware the info they provided was found to be incorrect, so we asked for adjusted payments for the subsequent month’s charges. Crickets. No response. I see from reviews it’s a common problem, buffered only by patronizing responses from management with no action to correct the issue.

Just dropped in while on vacation. Front desk staff were super friendly and the process to check in went easily so I could get straight into my workout. The gym was super clean and people actually put their weights away and clean equipment after they are done. If I lived in the area this would be the gym I pick.

They make it so incredibly hard to cancel your membership. I am going back to school and will no longer be around often enough to come to this gym. I went in a little over a month ago and requested to cancel my membership. I was handed a business card with a QR code on it and was told to scan, fill out the form, and send it in. I went home to do that, and later received an email titled “cancellation request.” In this email, it explains the 30 day notice agreement, which I completely understand. At the bottom of the email it said that I would receive an email or call confirming the cancellation request. Over a month went by and I hadn’t heard anything. I was continuously checking, and because it had been over a month, I took that as a sign that the cancellation had gone through after all. However, when I woke up this morning, I was charged even more than my usual month-to-month plan costs. I called the number that was attached to the cancellation request email and talked to someone who was not very helpful. He flat out told me that this was all my fault because I never reached out to them. I’m sorry but I sent in the cancellation request and that cancellation request said I would hear from them. I DID reach out first. He said to me, “YOU never followed up with US so we are not in the wrong. You must pay for a whole additional month if you wish to cancel now.” Pardon me, but I am pretty sure the email said I would hear from YOU. Why are you putting the blame on me? Most gyms are money hungry these days, and Crunch is no exception. I don’t put the blame on the Hendersonville staff, as this seems to be more of a corporate issue.
