About Standing Bear Farm/Hostel
Standing Bear Farm/Hostel is a cute, super cool, and beautiful hostel near the Smokies and Appalachian Trail. It is a quiet, relaxing, and laid-back getaway, described as a little primitive but also an amazing gem. Accommodations include a phenomenal treehouse, comfy rooms, and a beautiful location by a river. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and awesome, going out of their way for guests. Amenities include a bonfire, hot showers, wifi, laundry, and kitchen areas, though wifi shuts off at 10 pm. There is zero phone signal. The hostel is also very accommodating for hikers, including offering car sitting. Many dogs are present. It is highly recommended.

Stopped here for a an hour or two to charge my devices. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I had a good time chatting with them. The hostel it's self was super cool looking and I would 100% stay here if I ever came back to the Smokies. Probably one of the nicest hostels I've ever on trail.

Thoroughly enjoyed Maria, owner of the hostel, kindness and hospitality! Extremely quiet & relaxing - kept a bonfire going all 🌙 night!
