PODS canceled my order a day before I PCs. “Reason” is something about the market and needing permission from the military even though I live 20 minutes off post. PODs suck, do not recommend it, do the drive yourself or look for another company.

On Sept. 26, 2024, I called PODS to put in an order for one 16-ft. container. I was called several times before the scheduled Oct. 8th delivery date to confirm the correct location and day, which I did. The night before the container was supposed to be delivered, I received a call notifying me that PODS would not be able to support any military moves in my area before November.
Because my wife is pregnant, I hired movers to show up to my house on Oct. 8th to assist me in moving all of our belongings. I am now out several hundred dollars for these movers because there is no longer a container into which they can load our household goods.
When I asked the PODS representative on the phone for a justification for the last-second cancellation--despite the numerous confirmation calls and emails I received and replied to in the prior days--she simply restated that my PODS delivery was being canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances" and that she was unable to give a more specific reason or an office phone number for me to call to get a better answer.
Not only are my wife and I now paying for movers that will not be able to assist us as planned, but now we are scrambling trying to figure out at the last possible moment what we can do to move in the short amount of time that the Army has given us to move.
I will never place an order with PODS again, and I urge anyone considering their services to strongly reconsider.

Great service! From drop off to pickup. Adam our pickup driver communicated well and shower up on time. Would definitely use Pods again!

Unreliable and Useless, literally. This review isn’t aimed at PODS in Nashville specifically, but about the whole PODS experience.
I planned an interstate move from FL to an undetermined location, and needed to move and store my belongings somewhere while selling and house hunting. My realtor suggested PODS, thinking that they could deliver my belongings to my next home. This has been the worst and most expensive move ever!
After loading two 16’ PODS containers, they were stored at a location in FL while I went about house hunting out of state. I decided on a house near the thriving Paducah, KY area. Then I found out that PODS will NOT deliver to my new address! In fact, they won’t deliver anywhere in the Western Kentucky area!
This is extremely odd, considering that PODS has TV commercials running on the local Paducah television station…but apparently they don’t do business here.
The PODS customer service people are located in the Philippines and neither of the 2 gentlemen I spoke with was familiar with the locations of our cities or states. They suggested a possible delivery exception if my address is within 2 hours of one of their facilities. They could ship my containers from FL to a facility in Indiana or Tennessee, but not to my New Kentucky Home. A facility near Nashville is 2 hours away, so I chose that one, hoping for a delivery after that but the man had to email the facility and find out if they would ship my stuff. He was supposed to call me back hahaha.
A couple days later I called them and learned that they still wouldn’t deliver my precious belongings. Well, at least I only have to drive 2 hours each way in the meantime!
My next step will be to get some U-Haul containers delivered to the PODS storage warehouse, transfer my stuff to the U-Haul containers and get it delivered right. U-Haul is willing to deliver where PODS has failed miserably.
I would NOT recommend the PODS experience to anyone, no matter how much I dislike the person. They have an extremely LIMITED SERVICE AREA. Unless you are moving from one major metropolitan area to another one, PODS will not deliver your container to your home address. Customer service is outsourced to the Philippines to people who don’t understand where things are, making communication very frustrating and time consuming. It’s a ongoing nightmare that I don’t wish to repeat and I still don’t have all of my stuff.

If you're looking for ZERO customer communication & customer service, the Pods facility in Goodlettsville, TN is the place to go!!!!! Driver delivering pod did not communicate before placing pod in wrong location & address. Goodlettsville facility management would not communicate to fix problem. Forced to utilize PODS customer service (in Philippines) with zero results; They couldn't contact the Goodlettsville facility management either.
For reference, I rented 2-16ft pods and shipped them from FL to TN.

PODS IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Dropped off a damaged container. Did nothing to resolve the issue and still charged me. I spoke to 6 different people and no one offered a solution for their issue. USE PACK RAT instead! They were great! And less expensive.

Did not contact me the day of delivery to tell me that they couldn't deliver. 4 days late. Did not follow contact instructions. Completely missed every drop off and pick up window.

PODS was excellent, best price, on-time delivery and pick-up, clean containers (looked new), no damage done to anything in the truck. The second time we are using them for a cross-country move and they have won my loyalty.
