I special ordered a cake for my son's 5th birthday, 3 weeks in advance via Krogers online bakery ordering system. Went to pick it up and was told they didn't have it. The man wasn't apologetic and said I could pick one out and he'd write on it. Won't make that mistake again. I had the confirmation in my email and confirmed correct location and date/time. He just shrugged. Pretty awful. If I could give negative stars I would.

There is no one to scan the groceries. It's self scan and bag your own groceries. We should get paid to do this.

Employees were very rude and dismissive and it wasn't just the girl at self checkout it was also the young man in produce and the two ladies at checkout. Never again from now on I'll take the time to go to Publix or Walmart. Sad Kroger's use to have awesome employees!!! What happened does the manager not know how to handle his team? Left feeling horrible what a terrible atmosphere and attitude!!!

Always a good place to shop, good prices and sometimes a large selection

It seems crazy to me that while prices continue to increase, they can't seem to pay people enough to properly staff the store. When buying a full week's worth of groceries, it's impractical to use self checkout... but that's all that was available today. I had to manage a 2 year old while scanning and bagging $200 worth of groceries by myself.

The staff was wonderful trying to help me load a Greendot card. That is, until the manager had to open the customer service register to process my transaction."Can't you read? It says CLOSED!"Manager lady of Kroger, you have some nerve asking if I can read, and then reading it to me! Had it not been for you, it would've been impossible to get through this retail life, not knowing what "closed" means. Thank you for your wisdom and willingness to help someone who was ushered to a closed customer service counter....by several of your cashiers! I'm not the one working at a grocery store. Jerk.

Easy place to stop right off the highway. They have fuel so you can get your groceries and the go fill up on fuel. Then right back on the road.

Kroger is dingy feeling... Things are overpriced... They're supposedly fresh produce is rotting in the store. I get the feeling nobody likes working there and they pass that feeling on to you..

The man working the area of self check is rude. I typically don't use self check but there were no cashiers. I used the self check conveyor belt since I had quite a bit and didn't realize that if the items got backed up that it would stop the belt. He marched over and rudely exclaimed, "The belt has stopped. You stopped the belt!". He could've just mentioned that you have to bag up items before continuing but he wanted to be hateful right off the bat. I tossed a bag of rolls after I scanned them, not realizing that it would "stop the belt". I had other items to scan and didn't want the bread to get crushed. He demanded to know "Why'd you throw the bread?? Why did you through the bread??. Now you've stopped the belt again!". I would have loved to had a cashier check out my many items but the inconvenience of not having one sent me to self check out. I will now go to Publix and pay more because their service is always stellar.

I’ve had to shop by cart last few weeks and have ended up with items I’ve not ordered. I did this so I wouldn’t have to go into store. Today I was charged an expensive Golo gummy for $16+ dollars. I called several times but no one answered the phone ☹️ probably my last time using this service

I usually shop at Publix because the store is very clean, always well stocked and the employees (shareholders) are very helpful. Every now at then I go the Kroger in Goodlettsville - never again. I went in today at 11:00 am on a Saturday morning and was once again more than disappointed. There were only 2 full service lanes open. I asked 3 associates if they could open another lane, and all 3 responded, they were working self check -out. Really? What is the purpose of self check-out if you have to allocate the majority of your resources to help? If you don't trust your customers or they do not know how to use - should not use self check-out. I also went to customer service - they were closed!!So, I waited in line for 20 minutes to spend $200 and bagged my groceries myself. The cashier (Logan) was very polite, but obviously overwhelmed. He must be all of 17. On my way out, I spoke with one more associate and asked her if she knew how to run checkout. She responded "I am working self serve - really did not look like she was doing anything to me. She called another associate over and claimed "I had provoked her" - really - just asking for help. Would be interested in knowing what the average ticket price is for self checkout vs full service. My guess is that full service purchases are at least 3 times that of self checkout. And also, I have tried self checkout - they are clueless if you have a question. A no win situation.DONE - will NEVER go back and will shop at Publix go forward.

Out of all the Kroger's in the area, this location is my absolute go-to! I am here multiple times per week and maybe even twice on Sunday. This location is one of the larger stores that features all the specialty areas from meat counter, bakery, cheese island and of course a Starbucks! While the inside stations are great, this store also features two fuel center stations! Stock is always on point here, and it is a rarity that I leave without something I was after. You have to time your produce visits just right, as it can get down to the "meh" stock on the weekends. Service is always friendly and helpful in the aisles and at the registers. They usually have a few full service lanes open, and most of the time they have both portions of self-check open and staffed. Only complaint about this location is the cart situation. The parking lot is normally overflowing with carts, so make sure you grab one on the way in to ensure you have one. Overall, this is my Kroger and I will certainly be back time and time again!

As a kid, Kroger was new in my neighborhood and my mom and I went every Saturday. The workers helped us if needed and were happy to do so. Now, not only do we have to act as an unpaid cashier, bagger etc, we also are expected to figure out any problem on our own. If the customer service desk is open, you are lucky. After today, I will not go back to kroger again.
