This location s opens at 8:30a. I got out the line as the third person waiting because they hadn’t opened by 8:35. I went to the self-serve kiosk, but realized I needed tape. Got back in the line. Saw two employees at the desk doing something with the computer at the desk . I definitely understand if they could not serve us due to computer issues, but to not say anything to a line full of people (8 people in line by 8:50)and no employee said anything to acknowledge us waiting or be kind enough to let us know what’s going on… Just disrespectful and awful customer service. I left! I’ll go to another location!!!

Made appointment for passport services.
Showed up for my appointment only to be told the passport employees weren’t there.
Why make appointments if the people providing the services aren’t even there??

The Germantown PO has lost or delayed several important letters causing late payments or causing me to cancel checks and reissue payments. I called yesterday, 7/9/24 to speak with the GT Post Master who was not in at time, I left my number for a return call, The Post Master never bothered to call me back. There is a problem with the processing of the mail as I do not believe my mail ever left GT.

BUT MR. POSTMASTER, IF YOU CLOSE AT 6:00 CAN WE PLEASE CHANGE THE HOURS TO JUST SAY THAT INSTEAD OF NOT KNOWING IF WE’RE DRIVING THERE FOR NOTHING?
Change the hours from 7 to 6 and hire someone to help, cause that lady is the entire foundation, structure, and glue to hold it all together. You defective government wormholes of despair don’t deserve her. If you don’t give her backup to make her life easier and this place more efficient than a one lady operation, I’m going to hire her with better pay and benefits.
The lady who works there is superhuman who needs a raise. No good government service working one lady to her bones without backup. If she ever leaves, there will no longer be a location here.

Yes the lines are a little long sometime becasue no one wants to work but the workers are amazing. They help you with whatever you need and it is the same 3-4 people there everytime. I’m there almost everyday and they are always so helpful.

This location has plummeted straight into the ditch. It's ridiculous how long the line and wait time is on a daily basis. The only reason I started coming to this location is because it's the better choice in this area but over the past year it's gone from top notch in my book to below zero. The workers are great there just isn't enough of them working. Once last year thr Post Master was working the counter because he stated there wasn't anyone else to work. A month ago the inside was closed because a worker who was working in the back stated no one was there to work the counter and one coworker he hadn't seen in two weeks. Germantown is a prominent upscale area of town that prides itself on excellence. The post office does not reflect that excellence and pride which isn't the fault of the City of Germantown. As a resident of the surrounding area I expect much more, higher standards. Again, the three workers, two ladies(one is manrd Amy) and a gentleman, are terrific the problem is that they need to be cloned and cloned immediately. This review will most likely not make a bit of difference to the powers that be but reviewing is a vehicle to express my experience so that's what I'm doing.

Government employees in Memphis and Shelby county have no common sense or communication skills, no wonder why every government offices are so corrupted . If you’re going to close your facility for a lunch break, put that time on your website site, simply inform the public!! That’s all!!!!

The schedule at the entrance door says that they open at 8:30 am but there were several people in line until they finally opened at 9:00, if 8:30 is not the correct time they should put an announcement because the people in the line were older adults.

The entire USPS system is broken. Much like the federal government in general. Pay for priority mailing..simple letters. No boxes or anything complicated. As you can see, delayed. Why? Who knows?

Drove 7 miles to send a package with 7:00pm closing hours. Door locked and staff refused services at 6:30pm. None of the self service kiosks were in service to purchase postage for a small package. Waste of time and why have established hours!?

It's 9:15 am and no one has come to the door to let us know if they are going to open or not. I see workers walking around and laughing but no service. This is the 3rd time I come and can't get service. This has to be the worst Post Office I've ever been to.Might as well make the drive across town just to mail anything. The stamp and "self service" machines are always down.
