Not sure about this branch, but T.D. AMERITRADE is absolutely horrible. Website is horrible, procedures horrible, took 3 months for the to send check to close out account.

The national office told me that I did not need an appointment in the Memphis office and said that they told Michelle to expect me. When I walked in she told me in a whisper that everyone was watching a video seminar and that no one could speak to me about opening an account. She said that she could only give me a paper application, which she did. She also stated that whomever I spoke to should have known that a seminar was being presented.While I was there two employees got out of their chairs and walked right past me with even acknowledging my presence and helped themselves to handfuls of cookies and other snacks.Maybe the training department can produce a seminar on how to treat investors how wish to open an account.I went to Schwabe, was immediately greeted by a friendly helpful person and opened an account there.

Stopped by today to gift my husband an account. The receptionist and some guy who did not give me his info as he failed to introduce himself was RUDE! felt cold and borderline sexist/racist.

Tried to make deposit for my IRA and daughters IRA (during tax season!) I was told we should have made an appt. Employee said things are different now that it's now TD and not Scottrade so walk-ins are technically welcome but not actually because they're always on conference calls. We let them know we drove 45 mins across town for this. Told us to write the check and then sat down at the back of the store. Didn't give any explanation, deposit slip, or answer our questions. We will be moving cash to another firm.

I went there to open up a bank account, the guy at the front desk looks at me & says basically to go online & give me a card... if I wanted to open up an account online I would have, I’m a more in store type of person because I’m sure I would have questions, felt like he didn’t want to help at all, & if that’s the case he needs another occupation where he doesn’t have to deal with people. I was a little upset about that.
