Adorable shop at the end of the motor nature trail. Amazing baked goods at the counter. Owner is delightful. Very nice selection of locally made soaps, pottery/crockery, post cards, local jams and jellies. Leave the precious store cat be! ?

This is the perfect place to stop after a drive on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail. The bathrooms are usually needed at the end of the drive and they are on the left side of the road, across from the store.
The store is on the right side of the road and contains all sorts of local crafts and gifts. They have cold drinks and homemade pastries. I bought some ornaments this visit, along with a lemon pastry. So delicious.
A mountain stream runs behind the store (where the mill name originates) and down the right side of the mountain drive. That's where we saw a bear this trip.

This is a cabin rental place but Ely’s Mill is an actual old mill that is under renovation. They have a nice store, with sweatshirts, candles, honey and cakes of all sorts. Across the street is a glass blower and a blacksmith shop that you can watch. An interesting store with complementary bathrooms.

Adorable! Went with family. Dad & grandma got walking sticks. Sister got a book & bracelet. I just got a little wooden mushroom. The cat there is adorable too, although you can't pet them. Good service. Although it's a bit cramped with all the people coming & going.

Ely's is located at the end of Roaring Fork Motor Trail. They have restrooms. Inside the store they have a lot of locally handmade items, fresh baked goodies, soaps, lotions, etc. It's definitely worth not passing by.

Ely's Mill is a must stop when on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail in Gatlinburg. The mill was built in 1925 by Andrew Jefferson. It is such a neat spot to stop and explore. The wheel was new when I went back after a couple of years. It's nice to see them taking care of the history here. There is a small gift shop as well as a cabin that you can rent out. They also do private events here as well. There was a wedding going on when I had visited. It's a beautiful relaxing place to stop.
