Unfortunately, it seems as though I'm like many on here. Ordered a belt back on 7/19/23. I've tried to email and text with no response. I understand that quality products take time. I understand problems happen. BUT, the lack of communication and no product yet to be delivered is frustrating. Hope to see the belt someday as it seems like they do make a great product...not holding my breath though.

I got my first belt 10+ years ago from these guys and it still looks awesome. A couple years ago I bought another, and while it took a long time to receive - due to their backlog of orders and supply chain issues - I did eventually get it and it's another quality belt. They sent out a very apologetic letter explaining the reasons for the delay and that my order was still slated. You buy a couple of these and you'll never need a new belt. My dad has a bunch he bought 30+ years ago and they've held up great. I noticed a lot negative reviews whining about the long lead times and it's unfortunate that people will crap on a small business like this. I've even read one star reviews of people claiming this business is a scam. As someone who has purchased multiple times from these guys I can tell you they are NOT a scam. The people leaving these negative reviews have never operated a business or have had to deal with supply chain shortages in their line of work. Yes it may take awhile to get your product from these guys - the pandemic and shut downs really messed up the supply chain in ways a lot of people don't understand. On top of that this business does produce a lot and they've always had a large backlog when I've purchased from them. I will probably purchase another belt from them next time I'm in Gatlinburg. They deserve the business.

Ordered a belt in early 2023. I got the letter also. I am sorry for the man's illness but they need to refund my money or send me the belt. Crickets

We ordered on April of 2023 and the belt arrived in March of 2024. My son is thrilled it is finally here. It is stunning.

Ordered a belt in November and it should have been here already. Contacted them several times inquiring about it and no response. Clearly others are having the same problem and it’s truly sad. Clear communication is really needed.

Paid for a belt July 2023. No belt. Contacted the police dept. Said they'd speak to them. Received a letter stating we'd get the belt in January 2024. It's April and no belt. Can't call so I wrote a letter asking for a refund. Also sent a letter to the sheriff. No reply no refund no belt. I wish ppl would stop ordering from them. I'm not giving up. It's wrong how many ppl they are stealing from.

Ordered a belt in September 2023. Still haven't received the belt and the merchant does not answer his phone and can't leave a message because his voice box is full. Probably have lost my $85. Don't buy from this merchant!

My father and I both ordered a belt in May 2023, at some point we received a letter in the mail explaining why we had not gotten our belts yet and at that point I had given up all hope of actually receiving anything for what we paid. It is now March 2024 and we both just received our belts in the mail. I’m very satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship of the belt. However I do think the business should be more up front about the time it will take to fulfill the orders.

Ordered a belt from the real McCoy back in August 2023 was supposed to be shipped out in September October. Tried to get in touch with them for over two months and they finally sent me this letter. Said that I would receive my belts sometime in Late February were in March. Still no belt so buyer beware

I join a host of other disgruntled customers of the Real McCoy Leather shop. I ordered my belt in November of 23 and in February of 24 have not received it. Mr. McCoy has a sign in his shop putting down China made goods and praising American made products. There may be some merit to that thinking, but on the other hand, you can order something from Oriental Trading and can expect to receive it within a week. Kind of blows Mr. McCoy's theory.

I purchased a belt in April 2023 and was given a delivery dated of 20 weeks. In August I reveived a letter stating that due to unforeseen circumstances my belt would be not deliver ed until November. Fast foward, now is January 2024 I have called both numbers on his business card, text and emailed. No responsed has been received. This is completely unprofessional and I would NOT recommend you purchasing from this shop.

Ordered a belt 4-25-23. Still no sign of it. Business will not answer phone or email despite repeated tries. MASSIVE RIPOFF SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ripoff, plain and simple. Same as other reviews: stopped there in person, picked out the leather, grain, size, buckle, THEN was told it would be 16 weeks. That was April 25th, almost 8 months ago. No response to email or phone calls (all calls go to a full mailbox). What a massive scam, especially given that they tout themselves as being so much better than anything made overseas. MASSIVE SCAM, AVOID!!!!

I ordered a belt back in August 28. The owner said he would ship out in 60 days. It is now December 11 and still have not received. Tried to contact him multiple times phone number email and no response buyer beware
