Arrowmont is a true hidden treasure in Gatlinburg. If you've been to Gatlinburg you have almost certainly walked or driven right by it and never noticed it. If you are looking to take an arts and crafts class with instructors from around the country and world this is the place. The facilities are great and the staff is super friendly. It's an amazing experience that I highly recommend.Tip: If you do decide to take a class be sure to purchase the meal plan with your class. The meals in the "mess hall" are amazing, and it's a wonderful opportunity to socialize with your classmates and instructors. It's so awesome you'll forget you have a phone. Seriously, how wonderful is that?

Wonderful workshops and hospitality. The campus is on a hill so be prepared for some great exercise while you are there. The new dorms at Bill May Hall are very nice. I love the screened in porches with rocking chairs around campus.

ARROWMONT SCHOOL OF ARTS AND CRAFTS, in Gatlinburg TN is an amazing school in so many different ways. I just took the oil painting class in Professor Gary Chapmen’s class and I can tell you without a doubt, he is Brilliant indeed! I learned so many thing I need to learn and I am so grateful to him. Professor Gary Chapman was honest in critiquing everyone’s art, and what they needed to do to advance and was there every minute to help you. The power points, handouts and products right down to properly cleaning your brushes and mixing of the proper chemicals were clearly explained and demonstrated. Professor Chapman made the class fun and I know we are all going to miss him. Every single staff member at ARROWMONT was so friendly and caring, that you know in your heart they really do appreciate and care about each and every one of you. The dining area is wonderful and the culinary chef and his team make the best foods around and so friendly. Thank you ARROWMONT you are amazing!!!

I'm taking the Piecing and Dyeing community class at Arrowmont with Megan Koeppel. And I'm thoroughly enjoying it! The textiles room is well-equipped, with all the equipment and supplies I could think to need and more! Megan is great! She brings her personal experience with natural dyeing and piecing, and a boatload of patience for our many, many questions. She also adapts her lesson plans to the interests of the group, and the strengths and weaknesses of the students in the group. I'm really pleased that Arrowmont had these community classes for those of us who can neither afford the time nor the prices for the national classes. Thank you, Arrowmont!

I spent a week creating in community at Arrowmont this summer, and it was phenomenal. It felt like Art Camp for grownups. Fantastic food, skillful instructors, and the black bears are an added bonus! I benefitted both personally and professionally from my experience. It's a magical space. Two snaps up and a circle!

Over the past 5 years I have couple attended of classes at Arrowmont traveling all the way from India. I love the school setup, love the artists who come to teach. They always give it their all. And yes I love the food. Even though I am a vegetarian I always have enough options. I love spending time at Arrowmont.
