Buyer Beware! .. Tried to return a defective item and was told they would not return it because it had been opened. Didn't know the item was defective until I tried to use it. It cost me about 25.00 PLUS time and gas. The cashier would not even discuss it. Flat out NO .. what great customer service! I will make the drive to Lowes or Home Depot before I will ever spend another penny with ACE Hardware in Gatlinburg Tennesee. So much for supporting local family owned companies.

Perhaps the last time today I'll ever go to this store. I was testing out a product (small bit that employee opened) because I did not want to have to bring back. It would not work so I said no then they said I have to pay and I said no and they told me to leave. Pathetic actually and "ACE" ought to pull their name from this store. Shelves are half empty per usual and terribly run. I have to assume the owner does not care. STAY AWAY as they will fold at some point. AVOID.

Always out of stock of basics. Shelves are half empty and I always have to settle for a different product than I came in for. Prices are high. I always leave asking myself why I thought they could save the 45 min drive to the next hardware store by coming here. Even if something says it’s in stock on the website it often isn’t. Such a waste of time and energy every time.

Everytime I need something the shelves are half empty and they're out of stock of most essentials. Even if the website says they have it in stock, it's often wrong. The staff is not helpful and rarely knows where anything is. Prices are higher than hardware stores farther away.
