Been there twice. Staff are friendly, but I'm there for a 'hopefully' good haircut. The stylist was to be an upper leveled with a higher clientele, from what I was told. Don't know if it's the inside of the shop that first draws people or what. Through experience I've learned that a good stylist can be detected by the quickness they use their scissors.. they know EXACTLY the style you're wanting and know EXACTLY how to execute the cut... not having to go over and over it, snipping here and there. You can tell how they use their scissors. You shouldn't have to keep telling them, this side needs to be shorter, or the back is still too thick, etc. There are plenty of hairstyle photos you can show them and they should be able to tell you by the type of hair you have if it will come out looking like that or maybe look for another style that fits your type of hair.

Shelly is the absolute best! She goes above and beyond for my 91 year old dementia patient. So very kind and helpful in any way. She does an amazing job with her hair just all around nothing but good things to say.

I went into this salon a couple of weeks ago to get my hair dyed for the first time in four years and get a trim. I called and they got me in the same day with Kimbrell. I was super nervous because my last stylist chopped probably 5” of hair off when I asked for a trim. I explained to her how nervous I was and she was super kind in reassuring me she’d only take off what I was comfortable with. I went on to show her a reference picture of what hair color I wanted- a sort of wine color. She NAILED it, although the photo I’m posting doesn’t do it justice whatsoever. It’s a much deeper red/purple than how it comes across on camera. The color is EXACTLY what I wanted and she was excellent with trimming my hair, showing me how much she was taking off, and even added some layers that she made sure I was comfortable with. Kimbrell provided absolutely stellar customer service and if I wasn’t moving back to Houston, this would be my new regular salon. Not to mention, the conversation was lovely, and that shampoo and scalp massage?? I was nearly asleep. SO relaxing. I so so so appreciate how kind everyone was and the outstanding job that Kimbrell did. Absolutely recommend her and this salon!!

I saw Shelly LaRose tonight for the first time and WOW! Absolutely gorgeous color and cut! I cannot believe I just now found Shelly. She took my hair from an ashy dirty blonde (with some grays here and there) and transformed me into a beautiful buttery blonde with an adorable cut. I am so picky with blonde and she just intuitively knew what I was wanting. So cool. I am so grateful. Plus she has an amazing personality and she's so easy to talk to and relate with. She feels like family when you sit in her chair. I highly recommend Shelly.

Im a stylist and brand educator for Redken and came to get my extensions blowdried by Kimbrell while visiting from out of town and can say with 100% confidence that I recommend her to anyone!
She was sweet and welcoming, worked super quickly, gave a phenomenal shampoo and scalp massage, and the blow dry was amazing. She gave me such a relaxing experience that I was literally falling asleep and my hair is so soft and shiny and my curls have lasted all day!
