Very happy with my experience. Rick comes across a little more direct on the phone and e-mail but don't let that deter you as he is truly such a nice and helpful man. He was able to pick up and deliver my piano to me within the time frame I needed it. The whole pick up and delivery took under 2 1/2 hrs. He was punctual and very communicative... his workers are also great. They were extremely careful & professional. Would definitely recommend and hire again.

I hired Mr. Fretter to move my piano from Murfreesboro to hermitage. He responded promptly to my emails and his pricing was very reasonable. The gentlemen who came to pack and move my baby grand were so polite and professional. They wrapped my piano so carefully with blankets and straps! They had several stops along the way so they kept me updated on exactly when they would be arriving. I will be using this company next move.

Rick refuses to communicate in any form that is helpful. Literally only responds with negativity and I don't know how he has any type of business whatsoever. You'd be better off hauling the piano yourself. Would not recommend to anyone! Hire someone who actually wants to help you. He will string you along and lie to you. He showed up to my house with a piano I already paid for and didn't have any crew or tools to move it into my house, so he left with the piano and said he'd call to set up a time to come back. Finally he came back with another person and I got the piano in. Never ever working with him again. Oh he also hit my house with his moving truck! Photos attached

Worst experience ever. Rick Fretter talked so poorly to me, I'm assuming maybe because I am a female? But I wouldn't be surprised if he talks down to everyone. He shouldn't be allowed to answer the phone let alone converse with the customer. HE CHANGED THE PRICE during the move once he already agreed to do it. He reminds me of the soup n*** on Seinfield. He thinks no matter how mean he is to you, you will still use him. No thank you. He also goes under the name Nashville Piano Room. I have never been treated so poorly by a business I was PAYING to use. It was like he was doing me a favor so he felt he could talk to me any way he wanted to. He might know what he's doing when it comes to piano tuning, but his lack of respect for the general public should put him out of business.

I can sum up our experience with Fretter's in one word: IMPRESSIVE. Not only was our piano moved quickly and safely, but it was tuned to perfection! We greatly appreciated the time and attention to detail Rick took in getting our piano situated it its new home! From our initial phone call, to the end of his visit, everything with Rick was top notch. I would definitely recommend Fretter's to anyone looking for a trustworthy, professional piano mover/tuner! Thank you, Rick!

I can't speak to other folks experiences but Fretters was great for me. They called and got the time of the move squared away. When we got closer to the date, Mr Fretter called and updated on the arrival time. The movers arrived on time and we moved a 4ft upright from Bellevue to Dickson TN with no issues. The movers were nice and did a great job. I hope I don't have to move a piano again but if I did I would contact these guys again, my experience was great. Thank you

Think of the experience you most regret. Gas station sushi. Discount tattoo artist. Going to Opry Mills on December 23rd. Whatever your experience may be, hiring Rick Fretter to move your piano will be just as regrettable. It starts with changing dates for your piano move. Perhaps he'll be able to get over there Monday or Tuesday. Definitely Tuesday. No, not Tuesday. Thursday. Wait, Thursday won't work out. Wednesday. Definitely Wednesday afternoon. Never an apology, never any type of professional communication. At this point, you've pissed off the person you're buying the piano from and you reconsider hiring him, but it turns out only one other company does second floor moves in all of Music City, and they're twice as much. There's a reason for that. Wednesday afternoon comes around and your piano has been picked up. You find out via message from the person you are buying from that it was "mentioned" to her that your piano will be delivered tomorrow, not today. You don't get an actual phone call from Fretter, and when you do call, no apology, lame excuses. The piano will sit out in a truck in below freezing temperatures overnight. The following day, I kid you not, your piano will be driven to Atlanta and back just for fun. Fretter will tell you the piano will be there around 5. Later you call him to check on it, because let's be reasonable, why would he call you with updates on your day late piano delivery? 5 has changed to 9:00. Shocker. You will wonder who the heck any of these positive reviews you are reading online could possibly be referring to. Finally, at 9 p.m., your piano does get delivered, again without apology. You will consider haggling over paying the full price for such terrible service but you'll be too worn out and will just want to get the ordeal over with. Then you will let everyone know what an awful experience you just had.
