Update: My experience with Darrell Waltrip has gone seriously south since I first wrote my review. The after purchase experience has been pretty bad. First, the extended warranty. . . . Suffice to say I regret ever buying it, and getting it cancelled took several phone calls, but they did handle that relatively well in the end (the whole story is just too long to tell). Second, and much more troubling, I'm driving around with an unregistered car because they did not get the license plate transferred before my state's grace period ran out. They did overnight me a temporary once I realized the new plate was not coming, but my courthouse clerk had to tell me to ask for them to do it. They didn't give me a temporary when I bought the car. Third, and really problematically, they were supposed to transfer the title and not just the tag. I bought the car almost a month ago now, and today I received an envelope in the mail with all the paperwork needed to transfer the title and get the registration myself (with one significant error--the registration they included was for my utility trailer, not the car I traded in. I'm unsure why they even have the registration for my trailer.) Now, I've done this before--bought from a dealer and tried to title the car myself--and last time the state told me that because I had bought from a dealer, I could not title the car myself--the dealer had to do it. So, Monday morning I'm going to have to go to the county and see if I will be allowed to do the paperwork myself. If so, I'm wondering why they didn't just give me all the paperwork when I was at the dealership and this could have been done weeks ago (they also charged me all the fees for my state when I bought the car, and today's packet included a refund check for all that--why charge me initially just to return it later with the paperwork?). If the state won't let me file the paperwork myself, I'm going to have to go back to Darrell Waltrip once again and start over. I'm regretting ever having purchased this vehicle. It's been something of a nightmare.Final note: When I went to the courthouse to register the vehicle, it turns out several mistakes were made by the dealer, including overcharging me on taxes. Fortunately, the clerk was willing to work with me to resolve the various paperwork mistakes instead of making me go back to the dealer and have them fix their errors.Our experience at Darrell Waltrip was a wonderful one--from the time I wrote them with an online inquiry until the paperwork was done. We live a couple of hours from the dealership, so our initial experience was through a phone call and video by our salesman, Mike, who answered our questions and showed us the vehicle. We then called him and asked further questions before ultimately deciding to go look a the truck we were interested in. When we got there, Mike had the truck waiting for us and facilitated the test drive quickly. We needed a bit of time repeatedly in our decision making process, and Mike was extremely patient and let us take whatever time we needed to think and discuss. Then came the trying to finalize the deal, which was a little complicated. It was late, so we decided to drive home and come back the next day. We told them (Mike and Kyle, the finance guy) we understood the truck might sell, but they worked with us to give us time to come back when we were more fresh and ready to tackle the financial end of the transaction. The next morning we arrived early, before Mike arrived, but Jimmy, the manager, did all the initial paperwork with us so we didn't have to wait. He was also just overall extremely helpful and easy to work with. In fact, everyone at the dealership was helpful and easy to work with. And, they had water and snacks for us during the long process, which were very much appreciated. Amber Person has a great personality and was super helpful! I highly recommend this dealership for anyone interested in new or used vehicle! Currently everything is expensive and I was not looking forward to my options but I came away thrilled with a car that I wanted and at a fair price considering the market! We couldn't be happier and everyone we interacted with to complete this transaction, was fabulous (Eric and Kyle on the finance side)!

Just bought a car from Harrison! He was fantastic! Didn't plan on buying when we went in but fell in love with the envisita. Between Harrison and Kyle, I couldn't resist. My boyfriend has bought several cars over the past 5 years and he said this is the best car buying experience he has has. Can't say enough good things!!!!!

Great service and attention from the team at Waltrip GMC, Buick! Meet Caleb first and he was not pushy and had a great attitude! Meet Nico the sales manager and you can tell that he is setting his team up for success! Came back to buy a car and Caleb was not available but Owen helped us tremendously and answered all the questions we had! He worked with us to find us the best deal and financing! Y'all..... I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Reed McMahon. I reached out to this dealership a few weeks ago in hopes that they could help me find a used car within my budget. I did not think I would ever hear back from them because my budget was limited. However, I heard back from Reed with three different options. He not only remembered exactly what I was looking for within my budget, but also how I would be looking for a car for my daughter soon. When I met Reed, he was not what I was expecting as a salesman. He was patient kind, and empathetic. Never upsold nor was cocky. After one visit at their dealership, I knew this was my new car guy. He did everything in his power to make my car buying experience the best I have ever had. The day I picked up my car from the dealership, Reed had the day off. Tim Howell was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the issue I was having with my truck. He keep me informed during the maintenance and ensured the work was done properly. He even found an extended GM Warranty to cover the parts and labor for repair.

This review is a five star because of my sales person, Sam and The guy who worked finance, Daniel. These two are superstars in my opinion. Sam was able to save the deal (with Daniels help) when I was about to walk. Sam laughed and kept me and my husband smiling and laughing during what is normally a very stressful event. I started car shopping about 4 months ago and Sam has been very patient with me the entire time. SHE TRULY WAS THE BEST SALES REP I HAVE EVER DONE BUSINESS WITH. Salesperson Samantha Greer was Super Awesome and worked very hard to put together a deal for me and my wife! It worked and we are very happy with our purchase of a 2023 Buick Encore GX. Samantha was set to leave for the day at 6:00 PM but stayed until the deal was finalized until almost 9:00 PM. A great and friendly staff from employee in the showroom. Will highly recommend our experience to others who may want a new vehicle! We will be back for the next vehicle!!!!
