Great program for kids to learn how to ride. And ex ellent summer camps to explore riding as well.

Disappointing and underwhelming. Not worth the money. While I can see that this might be a great place to learn to ride and care for horses for beginners and kids, it IS NOT the place you’d want to go to experience a trail ride. Our small group was taken on our “trail ride” which was really only a slow walk in a figure 8 loop right next to the pasture. Thought we’d get to see a little more trail once crossing the creek, however we walked down the creek a short distance and back up onto the small loop we started on and back to the pasture for a photo and to dismount from the horses. To top it off, the whole operation seemed to be run by kid volunteers and was a bit chaotic. Ryder was leading us on our experience and was probably my least favorite part about the day. He had a bad attitude and was just yelling at the other kids and even the owner the entire time. He was quite unpleasant. My hunt for a decent trail ride will have to continue because I did not find it at Creekside.

Can't speak to the lessons. But the trail ride was very lacking. You never actually leave the fence rail, as they just zig zag back and fourth without ever going anywhere. You do get to walk a few steps in a creek. The people were nice, horses were fine. The actual concept of a "trail" needs to be vastly improved. We could see the starting point thru the trees during mostly the whole ride. Def not a feeling of being out "on trail". Sorry I really wanted to love it.

I cannot recommend this family owned business enough. The hubby brought me here for a birthday surprise and I could not have been happier. The ladies that were running the stables and setting us up were amazingly sweet, genuine, caring, funny and very helpful. Our guide Lorie (I hope I didn’t kill the spelling) was so patient knowing it was my first time. She chose Venus for me and the owner chose Magic for the hubby. The trail ride was peaceful and the perfect introduction to riding for a first timer, in my opinion. We enjoyed amazing conversation, time and I have a new found love for horses. Thank you all so much for taking the time and for being so patient. Fozzys after the trail was a great suggestion!

Poor business ethics. Booked a trail ride for my wife’s birthday 3 weeks in advance. Had the whole family planning to come and go with us. Got a reminder email the week of stating everything was all set and ready for us. Our ride time was at 9:00 AM because we wanted it to be a bit cooler for us as well as the horses. I received a call at 7:30 AM the morning of ride stating that they over booked themselves and essentially there was nothing they could do for us except offer us a spot at 1:00 PM when the temp is over 100°. We had a couple of family members coming from out of town that were already on their way. As well as we had a baby sitter booked. Just ruined our plan as a whole last minute. This place could use better management.

We were there for a trail riding birthday party. My daughter was beyond nervous. The guides sensed that and walked with her and her horse the whole time, encouraging her and talking it through. Amazing professionalism!!

Very boring not worth the money. This place would be okay maybe for young children learning to ride for the very first time but not if you have had previous experience riding. not where you would go to see spectacular views of Tennessee and bond with your horse. We took a small short trail and that was it. I'd suggest trace stables where you can really get your moneys worth. Not to mention the lady who I'm pretty sure runs the place is miserable and needs to say smart remarks to make herself feel better. But all in all lame!

This place was amazing. We had a birthday party for my daughter here and the trail ride was perfect - we even got to ride through the creek for a bit which was great. My daughters are 8 & 10 and without prior riding experience, I was nervous, but they had staff walking along with us to make sure everything went smooth.I was specifically impressed by the young and young adult staff. They interacted with my children, encouraged them, and told them facts about the trail and horses - this truly made the experience 10x better for them and for myself.

Overpriced, Unimpressive. Pay for your child to do their work.I was excited to send my kids to Summer Camp at Creekside. I mean, the great outdoors, time spent on horseback, what's not to like about it!?The reality, sadly, was an unimpressive, unkempt barn/stable. The riding area was tiny. The plan for the day was essentially: Tend to the horses in the morning, saddle up the horses, ride for a very brief period, tend to the horses again, do whatever cleaning they required, craft time (not horse related at all), go home. There were a handful of "volunteer" high school age children who helped supervise all the work. The riding was such a short part of the day that I honestly don't know why they bothered, other than to say the kids got to ride a horse. Why am I paying them to have my child be free labor? I get teaching the kids about horse tack, caring for horses, and the like. But this went far beyond that, all my kids spent a significant amount of time hauling straw, shoveling manure, grooming horses, cleaning tack. There was so much of that involved, it left little time for anything else. When I pay for my child to go to camp, I expect that the facility will use that money to take care of the business needs--not my children!

I took a riding lesson here and This was my experiencePros:Easy drive from Nashville AreaGreat Riding Instruction by knowledgeable instructorVery affordable lessonFriendly staff & ownershipCalls answered and returnedCons:Lesson started lateLesson ended abruptlyHorses poorly kept & dirtyHorses not cooled down or showered after lessonsNo groom on premises to care for horses or staff available to cleanHorses tacked up when you arrive so you don't get the time or experience tacking upIf you are looking for a cheap lesson with a good instructor come here. If you are sensitive to the care and condition of the horses avoid.
