I'd leave a zero if I could. I'm local to Franklin. My car is in the shop and needed a car for a business trip. Made the reservation arrived only to find a sign that said we out cleaning cars please call xxxx. Called only to be informed "I'm out cleaning a car I should be there in 15 to 20 minutes." Are you kidding me? Asked if they had a clean car that I can get and question was met with silence. Asked if she was cleaning the car I was going to get, again silence. It was obvious that cleaning that car was more important than good customer service. Ridiculous.

My 4.5 hour flight from Seattle was diverted to Indianapolis because of tornadoes in the Nashville area, so I decided to rent a vehicle and drive the extra 4.5 hours home. Alyssa was great, and I appreciate her kindness. My wife and I arrived promptly the next morning at 11:30am to drop off the truck to the Embassy Suites Avis where Ronny informed me I needed to take my arthritic knees back out to the front, part the car, and walk all the way back. After doing so there was a line, but instead of taking me first, having been there earlier, he helped everyone else first. When he finally got to me, I asked him his name, and wondering aloud, asked if he remember me come in earlier . He said yes, so I asked why he didn’t let me have my place in line to help me next. He said he was just helping people as they came in… I think Ronny doesn’t like old white guys with cowboy hats if you know what I mean. He’s the kind of person that will destroy a business in the worst way.

The folks who work here have no control over the Avis policies.They are descent customer service representatives...ish.DO NOT PRE-PAY! If you do and return your car early YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND.The Avis associates will tell you that you will not be charged for an early return.THAT IS A LIE.You will receive a receipt showing your early return charge.READ THE FINE PRINT.There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE for the balance of your pre-paid amount.This is a desceptive program.I WILL NEVER USE AVIS OR BUDGET CAR RENTAL AGAIN!BUYER BE AWARE!!!

The drop box is the opposite way the arrow tells you the front desk is it is around the left corner at the side entrance if your looking at the front of the building.Use that entrance to get to the Avis counter. Otherwise you have wonder around the large hotel lobby and buffet/eating area

Paid in advance and had a reservation confirmation a small SUV. When I arrived, the guy working said he didn't have any more SUVs. He said he didn't realize he had anyone coming in for the SUV. Car I was given is in poor condition. Would NOT recommend renting from this location.

Like many of the negative reviews they tried to double my price and then wanted to justify the increase. They are understaffed and leave a number on the sign that rings inside. That should tell you about the level of service you will receive.

Made a reservation through priceline. Everything seemed great. Went the next day to pick it up. They said they had to run some kind of soft credit check on my debit card?!? Never heard of this. But anyways, they ran it and said they couldn't rent me a car. My credit is average but it shouldn't stop me from renting a car and they said it wasn't a real credit check anyways. This wasted half of my morning because most other rental spots didn't have a car. I wouldn't trust them to rent a car from ever again. Budget and Avis, cause it's the same place. Steer clear and find a car rental place that will actually rent you a car. From the looks of the other reviews it doesn't seem great anyways.

They dont deserve 1 star also. Dont do booking using prepaid option as they dont allow you to make any changes in reservation and you always end up losing your hard earned money.

Poor customer service. When I picked up the car, we had to call a number as they were out "cleaning a car" . Waited 15 to 20 mins. Received our vehicle which was dirty and had very low gas (1/4 tank). We were told to return the car by an exact time and when we got there, same experience in calling the staff. They said they would be there in 15 minutes and were cleaning a car. When they came to help us finally, it was passed the time we were told to return the car. They asked what the mileage was, which we have never been asked before. Usually the rep will go check the car and get the mileage. Had to go back out in the rain to get the mileage. Then the person started helping another customer while still checking us out. Overall an unimpressive experience which was unprofessional and inconvenient. Won't use again.

The absolute worse experience I have had with a rental car company.I travel weekly for my job and use Avis regularly. I booked a vehicle three times at this location this month and each time I arrive they tell me they are out of cars.Each time I reserve the car and show up at the time I selected and I get the same response.Beyond the issue of mismanagement the teenagers that are working the desk are completely unprofessional. Every time I show up they are on the cell phone talking to their friend or girlfriend on speaker phone then after they realize I'm there to pick up a car they tell them to hold on while they "have to see what this guy wants."I wasn't sure they even worked they because they didn't have any kind of Avis shirt or name tag.Just sad to see that this business is managed so poorly when there is such a great opportunity at this location.

Totally unprofessional. Not sure of the agent’s name but I spoke with him on two separate occasions regarding the same reservation. Agent called about an hour before my scheduled pickup, claiming I had made the reservation the night before when in fact I had it scheduled for weeks, and let me know that they’re sold out of cars. The only reason he called was because I had the sense to check-in early so he was giving me a “courtesy” call to let me know “I’m more than welcome to rent from another location.” My company has a contract with Avis, that’s the only reason why I rent from the place but I’d recommend Enterprise overall and DEFINITELY do not rent from this location. By the previous comments, I seems like this is a habit this location is known for.

I chose this location because it was close to my daughter's house and I wouldn't have to walk the distance that you do in the airport. We arrived for our noon pick up five minutes late. The worker was dealing with another couple who also arrived a few minutes late. Soon there were four families waiting to get their reservation. The worker said that they closed at noon and we should have arrived early to get our cars. When we replied that then we get extra day charge, he said they would change our reservation time. I told him that nothing indicated that they closed at noon. He told me I should have Googled to find out the closing time. When the owner of the location was called, he said they have had a shortage of cars and had to pick and choose to whom they were able to rent cars. There were 6 cars parked outside in their Avis reserved spots. The 4 of us had confirmed reservations. The worker finally got up and closed the window on us as we were trying to work out what to do. He also told me my reservation was cancelled and I would be charged a $150 cancellation fee. And, I was told to try again tomorrow to see if they had cars I could rent. One gentlemen offered the worker $100 to give us our cars and he did not care at all. It was an incredibly horrible experience. Not an ounce of an apology. It was all our fault. I would give it 0 stars if allowed.
