Charged 145 dollars to read a code. "Diagnosed" a separate issue with door locks I was already aware of and didn't ask them to check. Previously wanted to charge 1200 dollars for brakes which I changed myself for 180 dollars in parts. The mechanics are capable but the shop is a complete rip off

My car is shaking/vibrating at the front end at interstate speeds. I am concerned it would either cause undue wear to the tire(s) or that it was possibly a more serious problem with the suspension system. Explained when I brought it in to Dickson Car Care that I had work done previously for the same issue at a different shop, but the problem still existed. Wanted a second set of eyes/opinion. I was told I needed to leave the car. No problem, but living out of town, I decided to walk the 1/2 mile to Enterprise Rent A Car from DCC so I’d have transportation while the car was in the shop. No sooner did I walked in the door to the Enterprise, but I got a call from the woman at the desk at DCC telling me that they’d taken my car out and there was nothing wrong with it. I again told her that the car needed to be driven up to interstate speed for the problem to reveal itself. She said they couldn’t take the car to the interstate and they were only allowed to go up to 65 mph. I asked if they were at least going to put the car up on the rack to inspect the suspension, etc. and I was bluntly told “no”, that it drove smoothly and there was nothing wrong with it. Ok, so I’m just stupid and don’t know when there’s a performance problem with a car I’ve driven without this issue for almost 7 years. There is no way they could have determined that in the 15 minutes it took for me to walk the 1/2 mile to rent a car. The traffic on that road was extremely heavy due to road work and in close proximity to the lunch hour. How were they able to get the car close to 65 mph in what is a 45 mph zone or to an area where they could safely and legally bring the speed up to 65 in that brief period of time. And, if they were going to test drive it first, why was I told I’d have to leave it and knowing I was about to walk a half mile? They also could have told me they couldn’t test it the way I described BEFORE I walked out the door of their shop. I would have gladly paid for the diagnostic services I requested. HORRIBLE way to treat a customer. Oh, and while I was treated like a complete idiot, the car shook and vibrated on the interstate all the way home. Thank you for attention and courtesy DCC. :(
However…A HUGE, SINCERE thank you to the guys at Enterprise Car Rental who graciously offered to drive me back to DCC. :)

A real life saver. I would have been stranded in Dixon on my way to East Tennessee to go camping with my daughter if it wasn't for these kind people. They didn't have the tire that my truck needed but directed me to a place that got me back on the road. Very highly recommend

Didn't seem like they wanted to fix my truck twice now. First was power steering pump replacement second was wheel alignment. They didn't have a rack that accommodated a long bed truck. They did recommend another shop. I can't recommend, or not recommend as I never got any service. I ended up getting it done at christie's tire service shop in Dickson. In and out in less than an hour.

BEWARE!!! This place will try to scam you!They told me I needed a new battery when I’ve never had a problem with the car battery. I told them I would take my chances, and I haven’t had a problem ever since then. They wanted to charge me $200 for a new battery and to install it. I drive a Vw jetta…. plus they spilled something all over my dashboard.
