My daughter had her 10th birthday party here on Saturday. The staff was amazing, accommodating, and so helpful. I would highly recommend them for any private event you’re having. They were great and I can’t say thank you enough to the wonderful staff and owner Amanda for everything!!! The kids and parents had a blast! We appreciate you all!!

I booked a reservation for an event two weeks ahead of time. Less than 24 hours after booking I had a personal emergency arise and could no longer attend. I immediately reached out and was told I could not get a refund and would need to rebook for another time. When I suggested I simply pick up the board and stencil and do the project at home, I was told that was not an option. I understand policy, but it seems to me customer service and repeat business should be important as well. They can keep my fee for this workshop, but they will never get my business again.

I sat on this for several months, partially in hopes that the owners of the Cordova location would make things right and partially to see if I'd still feel as strongly about the situation after some time has passed. This is the letter of explanation I sent to my bank to explain what happened after Cordova refused service and attempted to keep everyone's money.---A group of four ladies and myself reserved class time at Board and Brush for an intimate bachelorette party, scheduled for 6:30pm CT on September 24th. Earlier that afternoon, we participated in a rehearsal for the wedding, which ran long. K, the maid of honor and event coordinator, called Board and Brush and spoke to Amanda, one of the owners. K explained that we were running late due to this important pre-wedding event and Amanda assured us we would be fine.We made every effort to get to the venue as soon as possible, with K taking the bride and leaving for Board and Brush ahead of the rest of us, while the rest of the wedding party finished up with our prior obligation.The maid of honor and the bride arrived at Board and Brush somewhere between 6:50 and 7:00pm and report the employees locked the door as the bride approached it. I and one other bridesmaid arrived shortly after the MOH and bride, and the other bridesmaid calls the venue.She speaks to David, the other owner, who refuses to give his last name and informs us that the class had already started and the employees wouldn’t be able to catch us up with the rest of the participants at this point. However:1. we were standing outside of the storefront and can visually confirm that there are only employees inside, and they are just standing around, as the class space is empty of participants.2. We were able to confirm on the website’s calendar that our people were the only participants in the class that night- there were no others to ‘catch us up with’. David was being dishonest in this moment.3. Per the website’s FAQs, 3hrs is the standard class time but they may not always require the full time. Our group was there at roughly 7:10 and explained that we would not pressure the class instructors into running long. If we weren’t done at the 9:30pm end time, we were prepared to stop and leave – we needed to rest up for a wedding the next day, after all.The bridesmaid commented on these points and David became even more defensive, quoting the venue’s cancellation policy (no refunds). This is irrelevant because we were at the venue and never asked for a cancellation or refunds. We were simply requesting to use the remaining class time that we had reserved. David sends us an email with links to the store’s FAQs and policies, which confirm there is no late policy.K later sent an email to the franchise as well as the Corporate email address, explaining the situation and asking for next steps to resolve this incident, and we have received no reply. The venue refused us service and the owners exhibited a severe lack of grace in these extenuating circumstances, locking the door in our faces, expecting to keep our money, and wasting the evening for our party as well as the instructors stuck in the store that night. We would have been happy to reschedule the event for another time, but Board and Brush has been uncommunicative and inflexible. Since we will not receive the class time we paid for, I have requested help from my bank to recoup my loss.***Updated to add a screenshot of the business' FAQs, which state that not all projects take the full 3hrs, and that there was no late policy.In response to the owner, a reasonable resolution would've been 1. letting us use the remaining time we paid for, 2. work with us to reschedule or 3. refund or at least store credit for a future project, since we clearly weren't no-shows.I truly hate that we had to get our banks involved to get any closure on this. Sour end to a busy, beautiful, meaningful night. But we got our coins back and the bride and groom are now husband and wife, so the important things turned out okay.***

This is a great place to bring your family or work team! We booked the charcuterie class and it was about 6 of us! We got to make small charcuterie boards then made our actual boards! The activity was fun! I was sad that they didn't have the handles in due to back order but I'll def be back!
