$79 installation fee is fine but they neglect to tell you that you have to pay first month as soon as service is connected. If I would have known this I definitely wouldn't have gotten the service

This company is the absolute worst ISP in the entire world. Whether it be the quality of their provided service, the customer service, or the installers and providers that EarthLink actually uses. All of them are of the utmost terrible quality. If you want to talk to anyone who isn't in a call center reading off a script you can expect to wait for upwards of 90 minutes minimum. In fact I have called them multiple times and it took a collective of over 8 hours on the phone to even get forwarded to someone who MIGHT have been able to solve my issue, just to get disconnected by the operator who answered the call and they never called back. (it should be noted that I wasn't irate or upset at all during the call as I was actually pretty happy to finally be getting this done with *or so I thought*) so they had no reason to hang up on me other than to make their own lives easier.
