Needing the services provided by a funeral home is by its nature a difficult time. The Horners, especially Brad with whom we dealt primarily, were beyond helpful and professional, showing much empathy and understanding.

They were incredibly helpful and kind to me and my children when my husband passed away. We had no idea what to do and they talked us through the process and made it clear that they were there to serve us. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need. When I pass, I want them to take care of my service.

I was surprised to see how comfortable it is there. There is a kitchen but there is also a nice and comfortable eating area. The staff are so kind and understanding. It was a sad occasion that I was there however, the staff did a great job in making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. I would like to say cozy in some areas but that does sound strange for a funeral home.

My family has utilized the services of Dyer Funeral Home for decades, and we have always been treated with dignity and respect. My father, my mother, and most recently my brother. Ken Haney and the entire staff are wonderful people who go far above and beyond to help you through such a painful and difficult time.

Ken Haney and Jodie Dailey were extremely helpful when my father passed away. They gave me many options which included the possibility of burial on his property, transporting him in a privately owned vehicle to Indiana using a transit permit, transporting him by hearse, and they were kind, caring and explained cremation vs traditional burial. They didn't do any financing which was very stressful since my father had no life insurance or money set aside for his death and that is the only reason I didnt give them 5 stars. They did however give me a very affordable price which eased my worries but if they had financing available I would have probably made much more expensive arrangements, nevertheless; I am at ease with the decision which I had to make and my brothers were too. Brother Roger Cooper performed the services. There was something about his service which made me feel better about the loss of my father. He was very kind and if I lived in the area I would attend his church in Livingston. I thank them for their kindness during the most difficult days of my life. --The Logsdon Family and the Baxter Family

I am so pleased our family chose to use Dyer Funeral Home for my grandmother's funeral. We "shopped around" at other funeral homes in Cookeville, but no one else could compare to the staff and facility for the price. The home is very nice with a beautifully decorated kitchen, restrooms and a comfortable atmosphere in the viewing rooms. These are important conveniences when you spend so many long hours during the visitation process and funeral. The remarkable staff was very sympathetic to our every concern and treated us like family. I would recommend this funeral home to anyone who loses a loved one.
