Ascend FCU in Cookeville is one of the best financial institutions I have been able to work with. From the friendly staff, to the efficient services, they are always able to help. I could not be happier with my choice to bank with Ascend!

My husband and I have not had our account there a year but we have had three fraud issues already. We have to keep changing our cards and we pay the majority of our bills with our cards we can not keep changing our info every couple months or so. Granted they have fixed our issues. We did not had any issues like that a our old bank. I thought a credit union is suppose to be better. Has anybody else had fraud issues with this credit union?

I started the account process online but ran out of the willpower to complete the process on my own with everything else going on with my move.Enter Cody, who solved all of my issues in about 10 minutes flat and with welcoming and friendly customer service skills. He provided me with all the tools I needed to get my account started, including things I didn't even think about like a direct deposit letter. He treated me like a human, not a number and made my transition to a local TN credit union an easy one.

Absolutely cannot recommend this location enough! Cody, along with the rest of the team, is always happy and willing to help. We have had nothing but great experiences there.

Poor customer service/lack of communication!!!! Tried to obtain a auto loan with them. Upon agreeing to the terms, without agreeing to donate underneath the account selection you agree to open if approved, website would not allow me to navigate through the final pages. I tried to refresh. I went back over the info and even added a 2nd account choice to see if it was a glitch. It's just poor navigation of tabs and functionality of their website. No one bothered to follow up with me afterwards.. tried again wasn't able to submit. So I'll be choosing another CU to apply with that actually follows up with their potential customers that have website issues or provide help when needed ..even just calling with a friendly greeting or inquiry would've been better than nothing!

My first experience with Cody was awesome. He really help me purchase my 2017 Nissan frontier my second experience with Cody I thought I was having trouble so I went over his head and talk to his boss and come to find out Cody was right and in return. He explained it Word for Word to me that I understood. Cody is a real good guy. We need more people like that in a financial world.

We now do all of our banking here - auto loans, savings, and checking accounts. Taylor is the reason we wouldn’t bank anywhere else! She’s quick, immensely efficient, knowledgeable, and treats us as if we’re her only client. Never an issue, always positive and happy to help.

Michelle was the best. I came in here to get a new card and she was doing her job as well as talking which is amazing. She always makes sure you feel welcome definitely recommend her when you go to ascend Cookeville.

I don't think I will ever have a bad experience here. Everyone is so nice. I was helped instantly someone came up to me and asked if i needed help as soon as I walked through the door. PLENTY OF STAFF!!

Had an issue with a card and Taylor King at the Cookeville branch worked for a day and a half to get the issue corrected. Great job Taylor because of her we will be staying with Ascend FCU..

The interactive teller is very invasive you have to talk about your money, business, and private account in the front lobby infront of 5 to 8 other customers. These need to be located or removed all together or changed out for a traditional ATM. This experience is a negative 5 stars. (Only positive is Cody, he is always pleasant and apologized for the wait and poor experience with the interactive teller.)
