Bought my home 3 years ago - purchased the remaining propane through my mortgage with old owner. Today, Amerigas randomly showed up and repoed my propane tank with over 50 gallons of propane inside of it that I paid for. Claimed the past owner wasn’t paying a fee for the tank. First I heard of it after living here for 3 years! Thanks for the heads up Amerigas and taking the 50 gallons of propane I paid for!

Horrible company. Large corporation with no local support. Will price gauge and add fees, surcharges, and completely unethical pricing. Go anywhere else.

If I could give this company -10 stars I would. DISGUSTING SERVICE. DO NOT USE THEM. I have been waiting 8 days for an emergency fill up on my tank and when I call in I wait on hold for 1-2 hours, only to speak with someone in a call center from another country. They keep telling me it is coming “today” and then another day passes by. The district manager even called me back to say the delivery would come the following day and sure enough, 5 days later, NOTHING. I am a business owner and cannot fathom treating customers the way this company does. Makes me sick. We have spent $300 on wood alone to heat our house over the past 8 days and there’s no hope in sight regarding our delivery that they made me PREPAY FOR!!!! DISGUSTING!

Worst delivery service ever. It been 20 days since I ordered my gas and I did not receive it. I been calling customer service and i keep getting the same answer it will be delivered with in 24 hours and you can not speak with anyone local .... plus the order was already paid for in full

Ran out of gas during single degree weather on a Friday. I have been without heat and hot water (gas for both) since Friday, it is currently Tuesday and still no gas. I have called everyday but they now use a call center that can not directly contact the people delivering gas. I have been hung up on, told no when I asked to speak to a supervisor, and told every day that my gas will be delivered by tomorrow. Still waiting.Wish I could give zero stars.Changing companies asap.

I’ve asked them for the past few years to either paint or replace the tank. It still needs paint. They adjust the budget amount every 3 months which makes it hard to stay on a budget for my fixed income. You can’t speak to anyone locally, all calls go through an answering service. I’m done with AmeriGas!

The other 1 star reviews do not lie, worse customer service. Forget about calling them if you have new construction because they can’t/won’t do anything until the unit/appliances are set, not even give you a quote!

The prices for Amerigas are absurd. They charge manditory 99 to "lock in" your price for the year but then they can't recall what the price was. They charge 135 to rent the tank. Then they charge 30-40 cents higher per gallon than all competitors. Jist know there are better options. Customer service is a joke as they fumble through their charges and fees.

I'd give them 0 stars if I could. They've switched to call centers and it's impossible to speak to someone local, whose first language is English, even after requesting someone multiple times. We waited over 2 weeks for our delivery which was supposed to be within 72 hours. No one ever answered when we called to check on the status. Paid $500 up front for our delivery, to then be hit with another $100 charge the next month, and then a $36 late fee a couple weeks later bc the $100 wasn't paid. Spent an hour on the phone while they tried to figure out what the $100 was even from. Needless to say I'll be finding another company next year. Extremely frustrating experience.

Nothing but issues with scheduling from the beginning. To be fair this is surrounding COVID and dealing with the main Amerigas number. As of now at least you have to schedule everything through the main number. Each time you call you sit on hold for 27-50 minutes before talking to someone. Had to talk to about 5 different people to get necessary documents for the underwriter for home loan. Next was the inspection after moving in. Surprise phone call on the morning of the inspection saying they’d be there in 30 minutes. I was never told that this was scheduled and had to be present for the inspection. Rescheduling through the local guy though went smoothly for the following week (the only thing that has gone smoothly!). The guy was very nice and professional and arrived on time for the rescheduled inspection. I felt a little more confident with the company. Then I called to schedule a time for the tank to be moved to a different location on property. I was given a date but no time. No confirmation of the appointment. The day came and no one was there by 11am. Called and they told me I wasn’t on the schedule at all for any date. Lady called me back 30 minutes later telling me they would call me back after a meeting about rescheduling. No one ever called back. Had to call back on Monday and sit on hold for 50 minutes before talking with a lady who told me she saw my initial request date in the computer and that I was scheduled for the following week without being told. She had no clue if I needed to be present for the appointment or not. Absolutely the most frustrating company to work with. Maybe if scheduling was done locally it would be ok, but something is missing with communication between the headquarters and the local office and the customer. I really am a laid back and understanding person, but this has been the worst experience with a company I have ever had.

Columbia Tennessee store has the worst customer service ever. Had an appointment for 7 o’clock, the service tech doesn’t call me until 930 and tells me he can’t make it until 12 or one. Then proceeds to be a smart @ss about it because I’m upset that I took my day off to be here and up at 7 o’clock in the morning for someone to not show up. Now I have to call around and find another company that can service me as soon as possible and not after the first of the year. Good customer service there Larry
