Hammer Jewelers is honestly the best hometown store you will ever visit! Mike Hammer is always a pleasure to speak with and his generosity to the community is unmeasurable. He and his son David are extremely knowledgeable and reliable. The store itself is unique and stands above and beyond any other. We are lucky to have a store like Hammers here in collierville. ♥️Highly recommend to anyone looking to repair or purchase any of your jewelry items.

Hammer Jeweler’s has always catered to my jewelry needs! They have thorough experience and always knows how to answer my question. I have bought several gifts for friends and family here, and they answer my questions with knowledge and sincerity. I recommend going to them for anything related to jewelry- their prices are amazing-whether it is for repairs or gifts!

If you use their consignment service, make sure you keep good records of it.
I lost the business card size piece of paper they gave me. They now say they can not locate my 10,000 dollar ring without the piece of paper even if I give them my name or any other information they took when I paid to have the ring cleaned for consignment.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This guy refused to let me enter this establishment and racially profiled me as if I was there to rob him. He had questions that made me feel uncomfortable, so I decided not to enter at all. I'll find a Valentines Day gift else where...

I brought in my Grandmothers wedding rings while she was in town to get resized and to soldering them together. She was only in town for a few days and they made sure to get it done before she left. They did amazing and it fit very well! The owner is very nice and we loved talking to him! We will definitely be back for more Jewelry repairs!

I completely agree with the customer who said in their review of Hammer Jewelers "if you want good customer service go anywhere else". I had a very old ring in which Mr. Hammer placed a semi-precious stone. I chose this jeweler because another jeweler in town said he was the only person she knew of who had a particular laser needed to set a stone in this sort of ring. The stone Mr. Hammer chose was too deep for the ring, causing the culet to scratch into my finger. That particular stone should never have been placed in the ring to start with. Mr. Hammer's remedy was to cut the culet off which left the stone looking as though it had a hole in the center. It looked terrible. When I tried to bring this to Mr. Hammer's attention (I say "tried" because he angrily and aggressively kept interrupting me) he told me two things: 1) he said back in the old days it was common to cut the culet off in this situation and 2) he said that he told me when I drop the ring off that that's what he was going to do. First this is not the old days. Second, the day I dropped the ring off I dealt mainly with the worker (a blond girl). The only dealing I had with Mr. Hammer that day was him showing me the peridot he had in stock, talking about himself and about how many generations the business has been in the family. He came across as self-absorbed, arrogant, not a good listener, and never mentioning anything regarding particulars of the stone. I tried to tell Mr. Hammer that I should have been told before any cutting was done to the stone to which he replied "I don't have time to talk to every customer before I do things with their stones". I feel the customer should be notified before a stone is changed. As I attempted to make this point he kept interrupting me to the point where I finally said "do you mind not interrupting me so I can say just one complete sentence"! Needless to say, that did not go well causing Mr Hammer to step back and, with a very sarcastic smirk on his face, say "go ahead, say anything you like". At that point, it was clear that my trying to get him to understand the point I was trying to make was a frustrating waste of time so I asked for my ring back. He would not give it to me saying he would put another stone in it but I would have to pay for that stone. I told him I didn't think I should have to pay for another stone since he ruined the first one I already paid for. Again, I asked for my ring and again, there was another lengthy and unnecessary exchange. Eventually, and quite displeased, he said he would put another stone in the ring and not charge me for it. Not knowing if there was another jeweler in town who had the ability to set a stone in this kind of ring, and going against my better judgment, I left the ring with Mr. Hammer. When I left there I was shaking because of the anger and disrespect shown to me by Mr. Hammer. When I got home I felt very uncomfortable with my decision so I drove back to pick up my ring. When I got to Hammer Jewelers I told Mr. Hammer I wanted to pick up my ring and he said "no, you don't need to do that". I told him I didn't want him to work on my ring because of the way he treated me earlier. Again, he refused to give me the ring. Only after my third request did he take me seriously and finally give my ring back. This little gold ring does not have much financial value, but it has a great deal of sentimental value. I found this stoneless ring while metal detecting in England, my mother's homeland. Eight years ago, I lost both of my parents in an accident and chose my mother's birthstone, a peridot, for this ring as a way to honor her. Because of the treatment of Mr. Hammer, I just couldn't leave this special little ring in a place like that. Mr Hammer blamed his bad behavior on having just received some concerning medical news. What Mr. Hammer needs to realize is that we all, every customer who walks in that store, are fighting some sort of battle and that we all deserve to b

Too pricey. Wanted the band reduced (remove 3 links), and was charged $27. They did not even change the time on the watch for the excessive amount paid.

Absolutely horrible service. Added the most pathetic safety chain to my watch with what was the equivalent of super glue and now the gold platting is taken off. Broke as I was trying it on for the FIRST time. Offered no reimbursement, discount, or assistance. I would highly recommend going literally anywhere else for service.

Hammer was able to order a very specific silver chain that I had been unable to find for a few years at any other shop.
