Cecil’s Automotive fixed my flat tire last week. They were courteous and much quicker than I expected. The price was much less than I expected. I highly recommend them.

I don’t write a lot of reviews, but Cecil’s absolutely deserves a positive one. Scheduled to have A/C recharged on July 3. Took it in, they cleared the system, recharged, changed a couple of bad o-rings that were likely a source of a slow freon leak and we picked it up later that day to realize it was running very hot. I had noticed coolant being low a week before but my son never said it was running hot, just that the A/C wasn’t blowing cold. It was curious why coolant was missing, but I didn’t see any leaks. Called Cecil’s right back. They had me drop it off the night of the 3rd to address it July 4 when they should have been at home relaxing. Water pump was bad. Had it replaced in a couple hours and we were good-to-go. Of course I’ve heard of Cecil’s a hundred times, but this was my first experience using the shop. I don’t plan on going anywhere else. Great people.

How can there be a better automobile repair shop than Cecils! I am soo happy to say that they exceeded my expectation! My wifes Buick kept going dead. After 2 shops and the purchase of a unnecessary battery., They trouble shooter with patience! And after 3 days they figured out what was pulling the battery down! They could have charged me and Arm and a Leg, especially after 3 days. But they didn't! I now love Cecils!

Took my wife's 2011 Nissan Rouge. They let me know the repairs needed, alternatives, and prices before starting work. Having taken my car for a pre-purchase inspection, I felt very comfortable with them doing the work. And I wasn't disappointed. Because I trust them more than a dealer, I took my 2017 rouge for cvt drain and fill. Very reasonable price for the work.

After Christian Brothers automotive tried to take advantage of my lack of car knowledge, Cecil's took great care of me. Christian Brothers said my breaks wore down so much that the axels needed to be replaced and quoted an outrageous price for the work. Cecil's, however, saw that my breaks still had life left on them and just had some sand making the grinding noise I was worried about. They cleaned it out for free and my breaks sounded fine again, no issues. Thank you for your honesty, Cecil's. Wish Christian Brothers would take the "Christian" out of their name bc it just doesn't fit...

We took our vehicle in because the Toyota dealership had expected our brakes as part of an overall inspection and said earlier last year that our brake pads were at 4mm and would need changing before long. This is our primary vehicle that we drive everywhere and make trips in. So we thought it now being about a year later that we should take it in to have the brake pads changed before it started effecting the rotors. HOW MUCH did Cecil’s charge us? $0.00 !!!
The Rest of the Story:
So we go in to Cecil’s and the tech inspected all four sets of brake pads and they were all “a solid 6mm”. So we probably have TWO MORE YEARS WORTH before replacing! They could have just done the job and charged us about $650 roughly or so to replace the brake pads, but they didn’t.
So we had heard that Cecil’s was honest all the way around and will do you right and not say you need a repair and scare you like some other places might. We also found out that they do most repairs, their list of services is length! And between the phone calls to Cecil’s and in the shop they communicated with us very well!!
We kept our last mechanic for 20 years and then switched, why? He retired! So it looks like Cecil’s will have to put up with us for 20 years or so!
So a big honorable mention for Cecil’s Automotive in Collierville for being trustworthy, courteous, friendly, etc!!!
THANK YOU!! ?

Dropped my car off and tried to explain what was happening but no one wanted to listen and ignored the papers from autozone for an engine code. Charged me $600 for 4 spark plugs and an ignition coil and when I asked if it was a big job they said no and then charged me $400 in labor so I guess it was bigger than they thought. Then got my car back and it’s not even fixed and now it’s a complete ECU failure which the new mechanic said everyone knows about in Hyundais and kias. So got ripped off $600 for nothing, I wouldn’t go here it’s just not a trustworthy shop.

Appointment was made to get repairs made to my son’s truck. They made the needed repairs and explained that one of the things we thought needed to be done was not needed after all. The repairs were completed in less than 48 hours. They were polite, good at explaining everything, and the cost was less than expected. Thank you to the good people at Cecil’s!

Great customer service in these difficult circumstances of just trying to get someone to do a normal job of maintaining our car. Cecil’s does their best to maintain an accurate schedule and to perform professional repairs.
