Rooms smell like smoke and the AC can’t keep up with the heat. The ratings here are definitely skewed.

Scott and Melissa more are amazing, so loving, caring and good caretakers of the place!? Had our spiritual camp meeting here, it was awesome! Love the large new & wide open multipurpose building they have in the center, perfect for large gatherings!??

I am personal friends with the owner of this place and it is lovely here. It is the absolute best place to spend the night or enjoy your quiet vacation just a few miles from boat docs and the lake and just around the corner is the golf field for a great time, the park is straight across the road. The overall location of this place is perfect. Enjoy.
Rooms: The rooms are beautiful and rustic

I’m so glad word of mouth guided me to Melissa and Scott. 1/17/2024 I made it to Clifton around 9 after a 3 hour drive In the snow and ice . Melissa and Scott’s rooms were all booked except one cabin they had just got the hot water tank worked on right before we arrive, they wanted to test run it before booking the room. Scott said before we turn you down let me check to make sure it’s working enough to book the cabin out. He checked and it was… It was meant for us because what I had to do the next day was less than 4 minutes away and the other hotels was 30 minutes out. So next I tell them we’re going to get something to eat… what do we have around here. Scott and Melissa said because of the snow/ice, I think everything is closed. We have Coco, coffee, snacks, macaroni, etc……! When I tell you from start to finish I had an amazing experience from prayers, hospitality, and all around kindness….If your ever in Clifton…. Please check them out. I loved my cabin. Thank you Melissa and Scott for being the beautiful souls that you are?Shell and family

I had a business appointment in Clifton ans wanted to stay near town. Found the Bear Inn online and really liked the pictures! I have to say that the pictures matched what was actually seen. The rooms have been totally renovated with wooden ceilings and walls giving a rustic feeling. Kitchenette was perfect. I loved the special touches like the personalized coffee and the soap. Beds were comfortable too. The only negative is that the location is right on a state road so lots of truck noise in the morning. Usually I wouldn’t stay at a motel with exterior rooms however I loved this place and felt safe! I would highly recommend the property.

Very nice and clean room and will hope to stay again. The lady was nice to open the door and rent us a room. Thanks for the hospitality it greatly appreciated.Safety: Traveling to see a sick friend and it becomes very foggy and unsafe to drive. Thank God for this bear inn ?

Cozy private little cabins that are perfect for 2! I could live in one of these forever! So far we've stayed about 3 months. The staff is on site but never overbearing. Our back porch looks out over a beautiful creek. Other guests here are super respectful and nice. We literally have zero complaints.Walkability: There is a ton of space available for exploring hiking walking and just plain old looking around. Clifton tn is quaint quiet and just a sleepy little town. We love it! Not much around as far as food or activities unless you are out doors ppl like us. If so this is perfect for you.

The back porch overlooks the saddest “creek” I’ve ever seen. We called ahead to find out if there was or was not a restaurant. No answer or return call so we took our chances even though we were exhausted. Bad call. There’s no restaurant so back in the car to eat at some truck stop. No Internet in the cabin. When I asked about it they said there was internet in the breezeway. I guess I could have bedded down in the breezeway but .. seemed like a bad idea. Very close to a busy road. Not a retreat at all. The place was clean though, and there was coffee.

The new owners and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. I would recommend them to anyone. The cabins sit along a creek front and back porches. Back porches with a grill a great place to unwind or get away from the hustle and
