“I have been impressed by the patience and courtesy most of the employees display - the older check out ladies especially. The other day I found an obscure hardware part that was not bagged or otherwise labeled. I needed it so I proceeded to check out knowing I was bringing a riddle to be solved. Without hesitation or snide looks, the lady knew it was a 3/8” tee bolt and looked up the price. No fuss or muss.
Last week I stopped into Lowes to get an item my PC said was in stock at a certain aisle and bin. Wonder of wonders it was there! This violates all norms for inventory management! There was a small line at the register, and a young man popped over to an adjacent unused register and started helping me. I saw his picture on the wall, and he was the store manager. I remarked what a nice store he ran, and his answer was perfect – “good people”.”
