About The Settlement Preschool and Kindergarten
The Settlement was established in 1986. Our mission is to provide the best in early childhood education. Providing preschool, pre-k, before/after school care for K-5, serving Northeast, Oakland, and Glen Ellen elementary schools, and providing in-house private Kindergarten.

I am 23 now but I remember when I went here the principal enjoyed beating the children with a paddle that had holes in it. He/She used it as a scare tactic to prevent kids from acting up as well, this is probably going to traumatize me for rest of my life especially now that I have children I would never send them here.

My kid didn’t mind going here. I didn’t like how most of teachers talked to the kids

Both my wife and I work so it's always a race to pick up the kids on time. The staff is always welcoming and understanding even when I roll in 30 seconds to closing time. Great place for the kids and one of the few places we trust.
