Took a family trip to Nashville so obviously we needed to find the best Nashville hot chicken. We did our research! We found this amazing place a bit off the beaten path. We reserved some time for lunch to leave downtown and go find us some chicken. At first we were going to stay downtown and get hot chicken there. I am SO glad my husband picked this place. The place is small, very small. There are three small tables inside and a small table outside. There is the owner who looked to be the only employee completely running the ship. He took the orders, cooked the food, delivered it to you and was taking phone orders. That man has got it down! Amazing chicken, flavor was like no other chicken I have ever had. The crunch was the crunchiest and the spices were spicy and perfect. He cooked my kids chicken plain and even that kicked a*** I would go here every time I go to Nashville 100%

The chicken is pretty decent, but not worth it when you have to deal with the man that runs the place. Total a****** for no reason. Better off going someplace else where you're not worried about them spitting in your food, just for ordering it.

I'm a Georgia boy , I had heard about Nashville hot chicken but never had it ! I flew in to Nashville to drive a car back to ATL , I was told by the car salesman that this was the best around , so I stopped on my way back, the choices are hot , x-hot , xx-hot and xxx-hot ! I asked for medium hot and Mr Moore said there was no such thing ! This was the best fried chicken I had ever had and the hottest also !!! He does not have a drink machine with ice , so I recommend that you stop and get yourself the largest cold drink with ice that you can find !

It has been several months since my first attempt to try Moore's Spicy Fried Chicken, and I am really glad I tried again. But this time. I phoned in my order before going there. Mr. Moore is never going to have one of those "all sweetness and light" personalities, but he does make the very best Nashville Hot Chicken.

We were visiting from Florida for a nearby softball tournament and stopped at Moore's based on a tip from Tennessean magazine and glad we did. Food was fantastic, the restaurant was spotlessly clean and service was great. Much, much better then waiting in a huge line at other places. Moore's is a can't miss for anyone who appreciates really good food.

Dude knows his chicken. Stuff is seriously good. Some of the reviews say Mr Moore wasn't friendly. He works alone and is short handed if you get butt hurt easy go to KFC but if you just want good food, go to Moore's.

Spicy, crunchy, perfectly cooked fried chicken. I had the X-Hot, the spice level was to my liking, I will be giving the XX-Hot a try next time. Let's address the elephant in the room. Mr. Moore might not be the most cheerful person around, maybe even rough and tough, but he is certainly not rude like some of the reviews mentioned. He is a kind and thoughtful man that know how to make good food. Big teddy bear. People, waiting in line for 45 minutes is not a reason to one star an establishment. On the contrary, it's a sign that you're about to have some good cooking. Even though Prince's might still reign supreme Moore's sure does give it a run for its money We will definitely be back. Thank you for the good food

Our journey to Moore's began like some of the other Yelpers did- we found an article online with a round-up of the best hot chicken in the Nashville area and Moore's was listed as number one. It was on our drive to our hotel, so we stopped for lunch. This place isn't much to look at and there are only three tables, but we Googled a local park that we were prepared to take out to if necessary. My friend and I both ordered standard hot chicken breasts with two sides. Mr. Moore himself was there running the whole show solo- it was quite impressive! The chicken is freshly breaded and cooked to order. A table ended up freeing up and we were able to eat our meal there. Thank goodness we did because holy cow is that chicken is HOT. I can't even imagine what the other heat levels do to your mouth! Mr. Moore was so kind to us and saw that we were struggling with the heat; he gave us some water, a side of ranch, and mints to cool it down for us. He was so kind and accommodating and the food was delicious! I'm not used to heat like that, but I know it was an authentic flavor and it was fresh. Pro-tip: if you know you're going, call ahead to place an order.
