I've been bringing my vehicles to Gateway Auto on Hornberger Lane since 2012.Their service seemed professional and reasonably priced. They made a good impression on me so I made Gateway my home for auto maintenance needs. I recommended them to alot of folks.However 2012 was long ago and far away, as my experiences with Gateway has been on a sharp decline over the past 2 years.At one point I began hearing a nonstop squeaking sound from the rear. So at my next routine maintenance visit, I asked Gateway to see if they could take care of it.Front desk folks say "We don't hear anything."Really? It's very distinct and annoying. Folks riding with me ask about the sound. Maybe next visit we'll get it!I lived with the squeaking until my next routine maintenance visit, back to Gateway oil change, r&b, and another stab at the squeaking."We can't hear anything.", again.Okay, so finally when I had a little free time, I managed to track it down myself. It was a loose spoiler-bolt that needed a couple turns of a wrench, and that squared it away.Fair enough, nobody's perfect, we all have bad days, sometimes we swing and miss.A few months later I began hearing a thumping sound coming from the front end. Maybe it's related to the new set of tires I bought from Gateway?Brought it in in for my regular visit, oil, r&b, suspension check, etc. and to investigate the thumping sound."We can't find anything"Next few oil changes over the following year, same thing. They can't hear anything. I can hear it, people who ride with me ask whats wrong with my car.So finally, I brought it in for routine maintenance, it was louder than before. I asked if they could see if they could take another stab at it, and I threw out some suggestions of what I thought it could be.Front desk guy says "Yeah we found it and fixed it."Finally! I was very happy, and gladly paid them the $120 they charged for the repair.I asked what it was, and the gentleman at the counter said he didn't know, the mechanic did something or other...and left it at that. invoice bills an hour for labor with no explanation.Fine, as long as the noise is gone, Im happy and wont have to deal with it or worry about it anymore. Got in my vehicle, drove off. "thump, thump, thump, thump, thump.". Zero change. Gateway charged me $120, told me they "fixed it", couldn't tell me what they fixed, and the noise is unchanged. Wow. Did you even road test it?So, when I got home I logged onto Gateway's website to grab their contact info and clicked on the "Email Me" link to email the manager: "Mark Wagner", I wrote a polite message about my experience, and suggested maybe I wasn't articulating the issue clearly enough to the staff and asked if we could figure something out, or have another tech look at it?Weeks pass, no response whatsoever. Maybe the link is broken, who knows.So finally I had some time off, crawled under my vehicle, and immediately saw a problem. Two brackets that hold the lower bumper cover assembly in place were clearly broken, causing the bumper fascia to shudder in the wind, producing the noise I was hearing. I replaced the broken parts, noise is completely gone.What's wild to me is, I'm just an average joe, but these "trained professionals" at Gateway failed to see the issue the 4 times I brought it in.Ya'll couldn't see those broken brackets right there in front of the oil filter when you put it on the lift? While performing an oil change? And supposedly looking for a problem that might be causing noise from the front end? Four times in a row? What did you "fix" that you charged me $120 for?What happened here? Incompetence? Dishonesty? Negligence? Apathy?At this point I question whether you even changed the oil & filter.So, I'm done with Gateway, I've completely lost all faith and trust in these folks. Alternator had gone out on the highway. Got towed to Gateway as I have always dealt with this location. I had some other electrical issues they had to isolate. They also kept my truck on the lot for.the week I and my family were on vacation out of state at no additional cost! Parts labor and all plus a week on the lot for less than a 1k! Great people, great service!

I dropped my truck off and was told the alignment would be done in no more then two hours. I came back three hours later and the truck wasn’t even moved. The service writer told me the tech had a broke down car on his lift! You only have one lift? Nobody else in the shop could do the job? Excuses he gave me, along with his I don’t care attitude. Will never go back.

I don't care what city I'm in if there's a gateway tire Service I'm going today proved it again I live in Nashville drove to Clarksville today and noticed a very bad vibration in my tire I called gateway spoke to a nice gentleman named Jeremy who made sure I was taking care of and back on the road at the time I needed to be back on the road to make it to my destination on time I wholeheartedly appreciate Jeremy and the technician who took care of my car they were nice dependable and I highly recommend anybody in the Clarksville area to choose them

People were nice but…. Headlight not working. Told I needed a new ballast . Dealership wanted >$900 just for the part which Gateway said they couldn’t get. Son in law found one at an auto parts store for $400. He spent all day changing it out & the headlight still didn’t work. Checked the fuse box & found one burned out. Changed it & headlight worked. Put old ballast back in & it still worked. Why didn’t trained technicians check the fuse first????? We went based on their recommendation & as amateurs took their advice. Not sure if auto parts store will refund the money on the ballast. If not your business cost me > $400 & my son in law a whole day!!

Very pleased with the service. They are usually very busy but they give an honest estimate of the time needed for the task and wait time. Been here several times and I will continue to return and recommend them to friends!

Man, these guys are awesome!! I had a tire on my truck go down while at work. I got enough air in it to make it to Gateway. They found a screw in it, put a patch on the inside, and didn't charge me anything!I most definitely will look to them for future mechanical issues!

While I have used this tire shop before today was a complete disappointment. Called the day before to inquire about tires for my transit van 350. Told they had a KENDA tire that would fit. That it was a size larger but would be ok. I asked three times if they were sure about that? Dropped the van off, walked for an hour came back and it was already done….except that the KENDA tires ARE too big and rub on the front wheel well. They didn’t really have a solution other than to put on a brand I have never heard of or put on a tire that was NOT 10 ply. It is kind of unbelievable to me. I have paid for tires that don’t fit, now I wait again for them to put on the old tires so I can leave an waste another couple hours going somewhere else.

My husband and I always use this location for our tire needs, and every time we have such a great experience! Yesterday I noticed I needed new tires on the way to work, and they were replaced (at an extremely affordable cost) before 10 am. I was fully prepared to have to wait days due to the weather and the holidays, but Josh and the team did a great job helping us out quickly. Thank you for all that you do!

Check enjoy light removed Check engine light by making several adjustments only charged for diagnostic. Love doing business with them. Very reasonable and professional highly recommend.

This business has got to be full of the nicest people I have met in Clarksville. I’ve lived here on two separate occasions and have yet to meet a crew this genuine. Keep up the great work and prices are the best you could ask for. This will be the only place I buy tires from and installed. Worked on my wife’s car and put the wheels on my truck as well and balanced them perfectly.

Gateway tires has superior customer service with a clean welcoming waiting space and a wide selection pf tires in stock. Jeremy, was very helpful from my first visit for a comparative local price quote to helping me schedule the appointment by phone and making sure I knew my car was ready for pick up. During my experience they were prompt, fair, honest and reliable.
