Just a bizarre and overall frustrating experience. Paid for a washing machine and delivery last Saturday. Baldwin’s told us they would deliver it “no later" than the following Saturday, but that it could possibly be earlier and they would keep us updated. When we didn't hear anything from them about an earlier delivery, we blocked out our Saturday assuming they would arrive like they said they would. We couldn't go anywhere or make any plans and waited for our delivery until 1:00, when they called and told us they weren't delivering it today. Fine. I get it, things happen. But how, I wonder, will they rectify this? Well, they then asked when we would like to have it delivered, but rescinded the question to say that actually, they only do delivery runs to addresses clustered in the same area, because going out of their way to meet their own commitments is apparently out of the question. We have been without a working washer for some time at this point and weren't willing to wait around for them again until we were worth delivering to. We decided to just cancel the purchase and buy the same washer from Lowe's, who could have it delivered to us the next day (and could have had it to us a week ago had we just gone with them to begin with). Baldwin’s told us we'd have to come into the store to cancel the purchase (yet another inconvenience). When we got there, they were apologetic but in the same breath, blamed the situation on lazy coworkers (“nobody wants to work anymore") which was just delightful. We like to support local businesses, but this place will waste your time.

Baldwins has helped me out twice now when Lowes or Home Depot have let me down. One time it was when I needed 4 refrigerators ASAP, and they made it happen quickly. They are one of the few places in town that actually has items in stock and not in some centralized warehouse that has a 50/50 shot of delivering on time. The team in the stores have been very helpful and kind. Plus, it always feels great to shop local, know who you're dealing with, and able to call them by their first name.

Initially service was great. However, 2 weeks later, we needed to return an item due to it not being recommended by the manufacturer but they refused to issue a return for something we cannot use.
Update: we replaced the refrigerator hose and this was 100% the problem for the awful tasting water. We had to buy a pex version from another store to fix this.
I would warn anyone to be careful purchasing the water connection hose from Baldwins because they will not return it if this happens, even though they recommended us to buy it.

I recently purchased a refrigerator from this company. The buying and delivery process was fine, however, they sold us a waterline that had a rubber liner which was against manufacturer recommendations for the fridge (which should have been a plastic lined hose). It made the water taste terrible and metallic, not even drinkable. I called back and they refused to make it right. They told me that I could order a plastic line from them (pay for another one… are they serious?!) and couldn’t provide me with an estimated delivery date. If you order a refrigerator from this company, be very careful and make sure you get the correct waterline yourself. Don’t waste your time trusting them with this item. They are selling water lines that are not recommended by the manufacturers (This was a LG refrigerator). You will be disappointed.

Recently, we went in store and were the only customers, but it was clear the gentleman working was not interested in answering our questions about the different manufacturers or models and the features of the ones we questioned. Within the first couple of minutes,it was apparent that he did NOT want to sell us anything. Don't waste your time coming here. Hope he is independently wealthy because he doesnt need customers!want us there.

Friendly, good prices. Got a washer + dryer delivered and installed within a few days, when other, bigger chains offered a month. Glad to support a local business as well.

Kevin and Tiffany were super helpful in my selecting a dishwasher. They assisted in navigating not only the different appliances available to purchase but also the different sales going on to help me decide which one was the best bang for the buck. Went in looking for a new mattress. Staff was helpful....when she looked up what I wanted, they didn't have it at the Clarksville store, but had only one in the Hopkinsville store. I asked if she could have them hold it, but she told me I could pay here if I wanted and get charged KY sales tax. While she was figuring it out, I did the math on my phone. When I handed her my card, I told her that her total was a couple dollars over. She said the computer figures it all out and ran my card. After asking how she (or the computer) arrived at that total, she tried using the calculator to show me. When it came up with the same total I did, I asked why the discrepancy. She said, oh, there's a $2.25 charge for the computer to store my information. I was never told this before charging my credit card. By this time, I didn't feel like the added expense of driving to Hopkinsville. So I asked her just to cancel everything and credit my card back, which she did. I told her they should put a sign up stating their extra fee. All in all though, she did me a favor. I went elsewhere and got a comparable mattress for $200 less.

They were so go to my mother in law that when our dishwasher went out, I never thought of anyone else!! No big box for us!!
