My boyfriend surprised me with tickets when I was going through a mental rough patch and feeling very down. I'd been wanting to visit for a while and he knew it would cheer me up - he was 100% right! I couldn't stop smiling the entire time we were there. Hearing all the animals stories was impactful and emotional. It was just what I needed to feel joy again and be reminded of resilience, which these animals truly embody. I left feeling like my heart was beginning to heal. The Gentle Barn team is doing incredible work and deserves all the love and support!

The volunteers were all so helpful and very mindful of the animals safety and well being at all times! It was a great experience overall and definitely a lifelong dream come true for my girlfriend's birthday!

Hey guys! I don't think I've ever written a review about ANYTHING before in my life. This? This place changed that. My partner and I booked a "cow therapy" session, it was her gift to me as an anniversary gift. We drove the 3 hours, and enjoyed the quiet area surrounding it. The volunteer staff were very friendly when we first pulled into the driveway, I must admit we were 15 minutes early due to our excitement and unexpected "little traffic". I do recommend others in the future try to be there 5 minutes before since there isn't much space to pull off and wait beforehand. Our direct staff member that guided us on the tour was Terri. She was amazing. Her soothing personality, demeanor and voice made us feel welcomed and comfortable in that space. We both went into this experience understanding this was a safe space for all parties involved. However, physically being around her, other staff, and the cows really hit home for us. Terri had vast knowledge about their cow family, and general cow facts. We spent a lot of our time with Destiny, a very gentle giant that gave wonderful hugs and communicated her feelings well with us. Terri also captured some beautiful moments during the session. I cant recommend this enough. Even if you aren't experienced around these types of gentle giants, or are a bit nervous in general. Being around these grass puppies helped me understand a bit more about myself, what I would like more of in my life (less stress, carefree attitude), and how to reconnect to those around you. Everyone there is happy, healthy and loved. I think we all need a little bit more of that in our lives. This is a wonderful place to feel those things, even if its only for a short period of time. The memories will last years. Take a break and pet some cows.

Our visit to the Gentle barn was amazing, we had a Saturday booking and got guided around for cow therapy by Terri. Terri was the best, they were super kind and helpful, took plenty of pictures for us, and told us all about each cow, their history, and helped show us how they liked to be pet, brushed, and cared for. Our favorite was Destiny! She was so kind and laid around for us to sit with and give hugs to. Terri made sure we felt safe around the animals and ensured us we were in a safe space to talk to the animals to relax and unwind. It was overall the greatest thing, and would recommend it to others as well. Thanks Terri, and thanks Gentle Barn for giving these animals a great home!

My mom and I had an awesome time at The Gentle Barn. Our guide, Terry, was super informative and has so much love and kindness for the wonderful animals there. We got to see the whole farm and learn about the animals stories. Highly recommend visiting!

Wow, what an amazing place. The staff are so knowledgeable about all the animals, telling you all their individual stories. You can tell they really care for them. Just a wonderful place all around. I am so happy these animals found peace. We will definitely be back!

There were lots of districts on how to interact with the animals that left a less than authentic experience. You could not really snuggle with a cow. Most you can do is stick or brush their backs. You cannot touch their heads or ears.
