I recently had an unfortunate experience with the Walmart pharmacy on E. Brainerd Rd. regarding a prescription for pain medication sent in by my doctor that was deemed unacceptable by someone at the pharmacy as the doctor didn't state that it was medically necessary, therefore overriding and refusing to honor it. Unbelievable! I thought that a doctor's prescription was prima facie evidence that a substance was medically necessary in and of itself. If that's not the case, then all prescriptions should not be considered medically necessary barring a specific statement to that effect. Ridiculous, right? Pharmacists should not be allowed to pick and chose which prescriptions are acceptable and which are not. That is not the pharmacist's decision, as the physician, and not the pharmacist, is intimately aware of the medical conditions of the patient and why a certain medication is required. For a pharmacist to have the arrogance to override a physician's choice of medications is ridiculous...yet this just happened to me this week. I will be transferring all my prescriptions to a pharmacy outside the Walmart system, but feel I need to make my reasons known in case this has happened to others. Walmart should not be given a pass on this egregious practice! So there, Walmart, treat all prescriptions with the same respectful consideration or lose my business!

I use to love this locatio until my encounter with the customer service manager today. Absolutely NO customer service skills or customer service! Who thought this guy should be in charge of customer service?!?!? Absolutely dissatisfied and disappointed.

The pharmacy staff at this location (8101 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421) is one of the best I have ever experienced. They are personable, friendly, kind, and professional. And they always go above and beyond to show how much they care. Walmart has an amazing group of people - please take care of them and let them know how much they mean to our family and our community. They all know our family by name now - truly unique and meaningful these days.

I do not care to shop in Walmart but this neighborhood market is well stocked and in a convenient location. I found the spices I was needing for holiday baking in the Hispanic section. There are lots of choices.

Much more pleasant shopping experience than ANY super center. People are pleasant. Open 24 hours. Enough employees around if you happen to have any questions

Although this Walmart is smaller than the super Walmart, it's your local one and I have to say, it's the nicest and cleanest Walmart I have ever been too. The employees are in abundance also, and all very friendly and helpful. I don't think I have ever seen so many Walmart employee and everyone is cleaning, helping others, and I don't know, It was just a very cohesive team. All of there produces were also fresh, everything was well stocked, and overall I think I just found my new favorite Walmart.

Cute, little mini Wally World (as I like to call Walmarts). I happened to be visiting a friend nearby and thought to make a quick stop on my way home. This Walmart is a neighborhood market - meaning there's no auto, electronics, and clothing sections. Mainly food and a pharmacy. Great little place for a quick pickup for a few things you need. They have a gas station too.

This Walmart is always clean and the guy who makes pizza Matt always makes the most amazing pizza for only like $8.00 for a large and you can have whatever you want on it and it's the best. Apparently you aren't allowed to leave tips which is a shame cause he makes you want to. Seriously the best employee there!

Love that Walmart Markets are popping up everywhere now. This one is so close to my house. I love the convenience. It also has a gas station and the gas is usually the lowest around. I'm a fan.

This is the first ever Walmart Neighborhood Market I have visited. The result: I like it and will come again. It's like a " little bity Walmart. Easily Accessible: You can come in here and get the things you need and get out quickly. The prices are about the same as Walmart or it seemed that way. What they have vs what the don't have: They don't have an electronics department but they do have $3.74 DVD dump bin. It's a small one located at FOS in front of the pharmacy. They don't have an automotive department. This looks to just be a grocery store only with a pharmacy. I didn't see any toys, sporting goods or clothes. This should help you out as far as what is in this store. Everybody was friendly that I talked to and they are no where near as busy as a Walmart.
