It gets expensive but its a college books store what else can you expect. The staff are usually kind and helpful although sometimes it takes forever to get books. or if they run out they don't tell you what ever you needed was put on a back order and you'll never know when or if that book will come in. for more standard texts you should be fine but for specialized topics you'd probably be better off getting your books else where.

Terrible bookstore. Stole my money and ignored me multiple times. Never buy anything from here.

More than 15 people in line to RETURN BOOKS. Will not be renting from UTC bookstore in the future due to the extreme inconvenience. Why there is no book drop or mail-in procedure is beyond me.

After cancelling an order for my books and not notifying me. I waited for two weeks only to have to get more expensive books they had in-store. After realizing I purchased a book I didn't need I returned it 3 hours later. They refused to give me a refund despite me having a receipt. You are better off ordering your books online instead of going through this horrible process.

Our granddaughter found everything "Mocs" related she could want for her upcoming freshman year at UTC. Very well stocked store.

Yesterday, my daughter picked up a UTC specific textbook from the bookstore. She realized it was not needed last night. First thing this morning, she went, with the receipt, and was not allowed to return, only get store credit, or anything. Does this seem fair to anyone?

This is not a bookstore. This is a place for colleges to rip you off on overpriced college textbooks because they're too ashamed to stand up to the printing companies and tell them to quit making so many editions with no new information. It's a glorified UTC gift store which rips off its students with no shame. You're better off going online to order your school books, getting the international editions, and saving $300. If you TC truly cared about their students they would quit using textbooks that require software codes with the book when they don't even use the software in the class, or the software is so rudimentary, they could pay their own first year computer programming students to write the same software using a Google suite application.

I am an Alumni and so are both of my daughters. It's a great place to Christmas shop. You know they won't be disappointed.

Has to be the most unorganized group of individuals on this planet. Couldn't find a book you bought if it was right Infront of their face.

I will literally never buy a book from the bookstore ever again. They incorrectly bought back a book I knew for a fact I rented (and informed them of several times on several different occassions). When I started getting automated emails about a late book (I knew that I returned) I contacted them several times and every employee I spoke to said they wouldn't take money out of my account. Turns out they did :D and wanted me to pay them for the mistake they made before they would issue a refund to my card. The textbook manager and other employees misinformed me several times throughout the process and the textbook manager even lied about giving me the full refund. She ended up taking an additional 10% late fee (without disclosing that she would be doing this) for a book I turned in on time even though when I initally spoke to her she explicitly said I would get back the FULL refund. Literally the worst experience. Hate that I had to pay the bookstore out of pocket for a mistake their employee made. Not sure if no one there knows what they're doing or they just don't care but definitely get your books somewhere else if you don't want your money stolen from you and to be ran around in circles.

Rude and unhelpful staff. I went to return my rental book 15 minutes before closing. When I stopped to look at shirt on my way back to the return desk and the cashier yelled at me saying that they were closing and I couldn’t look around. I went to return my book and they said I couldn’t return it without my Utc ID card, it was at home and I live 50 minutes away.Lastly I was chased around the store by some female employee because I wasn’t wearing a mask. I’m fully vaccinated and have trouble breathing in a mask so I rarely wear one. But she was yelling at me so I just left in anger,

As others have said, store manager is incredibly rude. It's hard not to expect this sort of behavior to trickle down to the other employees. Refused to refund my textbook purchase from 5 days ago. When I wouldn't take no for an answer and attempted to speak with her superior in a separate building near the police station, I finally received my refund. Unbelievable that a store like this is able to exist in our global economy, and such a shame that this abuse is tolerated. I can only imagine how many students have been swindled by this behavior. Don't take no for an answer! Go up the chain! I'll be directing my experience to the chancellor's office, even though I eventually received my refund.

The book store has a wide variety of items besides books. They even have a small clearance section occasionally.
