He let us test drive on Thursday late afternoon and then I picked it up Friday morning to get it inspected. It was such a relief when the inspection came back. The car needed a few minor repairs that were completely reasonable given the age (2014). The pricing at Cody Motors is so competitive that even getting those repairs done, it was still less than we would have paid elsewhere. My family member was working with a strict budget, but I wanted to make sure to help them get a car that will still last a while. “Sales Experience was Great! No Wheeling and Dealing with the Salesman and The Sales Manager. Financing was easy and quick! Salesman was attentive and helpful! The vehicle we bought, not so good! 2020 VW ATLAS CROSS SPORT. From the start, the remote start usually dosent work, it’s because the check engine light is on and the car sees an error in that system. Discovered that on my own. The check engine light has been on once, was sent to their service shop they told us to go to. Reset the check engine system and also while there they discovered the rear spare tire well was about an inch deep in water. Noticed a musty smell in the car but though it was where it had just been sitting and not driven while for sale. I removed the spare tire this weekend and completely dried and cleaned the well and then went thru the car wash and as I expected, the well was full of water again. Do still have a leak somewhere. Then today, March 30, the vehicle has just shut off, meaning stalled, engine off, stopped moving while turning into two parking spots. Restart the engine and seems ok. But it did apparently cause the check engine light to come back on. And store the error in the cars monitor system ERROR START / STOP. Again causing the remote start to never work. Not very satisfied with a vehicle that I am having to pay $556.00 per month on and haven’t had the vehicle but 14 days. Haven’t made the first payment on it. CARMAX CHATTANOOGA. Will update my review as soon as I see how they handle this.”

“I worked with their family business because I needed a truck and write car salesman wouldn't walk across the lot to talk at the car I was looking at.I picked the truck out that met my needs, then checked the truck out thoroughly because I'm a mechanic.Itook it for a long drive out more gas in the vehicle.checked the fluids several times.i stopped and checked for leaks,just water from the air conditioning running let it idle,checked for dashboard lights popping up ,tried the vehicle in ◀️ reverse . The truck passed a vigorous inspection that took the better part of an hour.I bought the Truck .I would give them 10 stars if I could.It us the buyer who must beware.The seller makes it clear when you leave the lot it's your baby if anything goes wrong.The finance guy said the same thing so if Your not a mechanic pay one to look at the car or truck your thinking about purchasing.”
