First they limit the items you can try on to only 3 which meant I had to dress and undress SEVEN more times to try all of my items. AND you're not allowed to sit down while trying to change your clothes now because they removed the chair. Thankfully an employee let me use a chair, but seriously, do they expect all customers to be fit and agile? Management states it's due to rampant theft. I suggested they count the items going in and coming back out. She insists the policies are necessary because theives prop the door to sneak and steal more items. If you count the number of items before they bring them in, and when they come back out and don't allow them to park their cart next to the door, you could solve your problem AND keep my business. I walked in without a handbag of any kind by the way. The only way to steal something would have been to wear it. Just last week, I sat comfortably in a dressing room at a different thrift store, less than 2 miles from you on a comfortable chair, trying on about 15 - 20 items without having to get dressed over and over again. The doors are not locked. There are no limits. They will get my money from now. Too bad, I really liked your purpose.

Casual shopper. Staff is friendly and excellent. Price is very affordable. You won't believe how many people I see day in and day out trying to bargain off a $1 item and how many stupid arguments people can get into the staff had they just simply follow their policy like taking furniture through the side door instead of the front while I'm over here in the back minding my business trying to shop. I found 4 nice jeans if I can get them in my size all for $20.

Living low income, I come here quite often. Almost every time I go, they have sales on either but one get one, or half of certain tag colors. Really clean store, friendly staff, great place of you want to support the kids!

I've never written a review on a business before.. that's how you know this is bad lol. Terrible service, the lady was rude and disrespectful tried to up charge me differently from what the tag was ?? I ended up saying never mind thank you and she scoffed at me and gave me a dirty look proceeded to be rude on my way out. Aside from that, the place itself is honestly a dump. I wouldn't recommend going in, it's like a minefield trying to navigate through it. Overpriced and most of the stuff is literally garbage and junk. Hope this helps someone not have an awful experience. OH and the photos online are SOOO outdated. The inside is TRASHED, compared to the pictures.

I feel terrible leaving such low stars, but honestly I want to give 1. As an out of Towner, I was going around Chattanooga to vintage and thrift shop. I should've read reviews. We stopped here and upon walking in I wanted to turn around. The place is packed with stuff, and most is junk. There were piles of clothes on the floor, just absolute chaos. It seems like they just put out whatever people drop off, even if the glassware is dirty. The furniture was gross. I just couldn't get past how awful this place was. Please don't make the trip inside. There are so many other stores down the street that are curated and tidy. Neither employee even acknowledged our existence while we walked around.

Bought an oven from them, and it works great. They delivered it and helped carry it in. They saved Thanksgiving!

This has been one of my top stores to thrift at and in the past I have recommended it to friends as the best place to find quality brands. However, I have been disappointed by the service and staff numerous times. If you're looking to support Chambliss, the Brainerd location has always been verybfriendly and helpful, and your money will still go to support the children.

Updating my review. We have seen a dramatic increase in prices. Items that were (fairly) priced at 50¢ or $1 have jumped to $2-$5... Books, movies and CDs that are bargain bin at Mckays are higher here now. Lots of items being completely overpriced without much research. A lord of the rings checkers/chess cardboard game priced at $10 when it's on eBay for upwards of $8... eBay is a global market! Generic salt and pepper shakers $10. Xbox games McKays sells for 95¢-$1.95 trade credit are $5 when this time last year they would have been 50¢ to $1. DVD and CD scratched to death now $2.Untested electronics for $25-$100 including an Xbox 360 without hard drive for $80! If it's nerdy or pop culture it will be overpriced now. It makes me so sad to see this happening. This was one of the stores that still helped the underprivileged by pricing fairly. Now you see more "upper class" shoppers from the mountain coming down and because of that the impoverished will be charged more.... I don't know who's in charge of pricing or policy but it needs an overhaul. For the amount of broken, damaged, untested and poor condition items that get to the shelves the price point doesn't match.

Very Well organized, fair pricing, clean, and good parking are the hallmarks of a mission-driven thrift store. This shop is truly like a department store with home goods; furniture; ample shelves of books, movies and CDs, and clothing for men, women and children and a lot of costume jewelry. I noted the furniture was in very good condition, which is not the norm for thrift stores and the pricing fair with wing chairs at $30. Ladies tops were noted from $2 to $4. This is a must visit frequently shop.

Definitely the best prices out of all the thrift stores within a couple miles. The staff is friendly but don't expect them to gab with you all day (they're working, give them a break). Clean store, well organized for a thrift shop. My go-to pretty much weekly.
