Man, really unfortunate I still have to give one star. It’s undeserved. We moved into our house mid Feb with 60% in the tank. We called to inform the company it was a different account, the previous family moved.
No problem, prompt phone service. No fill discussed or scheduled. A week and a half later a truck shows up, no knock; no request from us, nothing. They march right back to the tank and “fill” it. $3.60 a gallon. $388 invoice left on the door.
We called to ask questions and we met with no answers. I failed to understand how if our tank was 60% full and after they allegedly filled it, it was still not 100% full. They’re still claiming that they gave us over 100 gallons.
We called to ask to speak to a supervisor about the matter as many homes in our neighborhood have similar issues we were told a supervisor would call us back within 24 hours that was over a week ago. Suburban propane, gives subpar service continues to fail to understand the rights of the people who have these tanks. If I failed to get it filled and run out that’s my own fault. It should not be taken upon the decisions of the company to give inconsistent invoices. Either prices in my neighborhood are all over the place. No two houses pay the same price per gallon per trip.

Had my call taken immediately. Stephanie helped me understand their install process and fee system and she was super patient and polite. She was also very knowledgeable and not only with their company but other's as well. I was on the fence between them and another company and she pointed out that the other company's quote of a one-time tank leasing fee, annual tank rental fee, refill cost, minimum requirements and oversized tank I don't need, would cost me more overtime.I am now scheduled for install and will update my review once that phase of service has completed.

They didn't even fill our tank. Showed up, told me it was full. Got 1 bill. Called. Then because of the nature of the home owner getting bill said bs bill was paid when - we have 1 appliance connected. The tank was read as over 90% full. And no call backs. Then we got bills. Apparently 2. The owner didn't know we tried asking why it was a bill and got no where. They told her mos overdue and interest charged. Never had this problem with the other company here. Plus if it was overdue - usualy they take them back. The worst part... is locals referred them. I referrrd them as well. 1 year we had the tank. The house is under construction and zero refills we have security onsite daily and no tank filled it. We have had propane and natural gas for years. None have pulled stunts like this.

They filled the propane tank without telling me, asked to remove their propane tank and charged me $163 ,though the agent told me it's $75 ,no honesty will find a way to charge you,am not dealing with them any more,my advice don't deal with them, when ever their system generates a fill for the propane tank they will fill it without prior notice, will charge you .

We bought our house last year and the propane tank was completely empty - couldn't even run the stove. Called around and got a company to do the inspection and then fill the tank. It took 3 weeks to get that done. Then a couple months later - out of the blue - Suburban propane came to our house and filled the tank. Didn't knock on the door, didn't ask first. Just filled it, left, and sent us a bill. I called immediately and they said they would take care of it. BUT, we continued to receive bills. Called again, and they insist we must pay this bill. The previous owner did not cancel - not my problem. According to their records, they had not been to the house in over a year. I own a business, and if this happened, I would apologize and write it off. I looked up Tennessee law, and it is illegal to fill someone's propane tank without the owner's permission. Suburban Propane - do what is right and take care of this bill. In the future, if it's been a year, call and confirm the owner is still there and wants the service.
