NO AIR CONDITIONING. I REPEAT. NO AIR CONDITIONING. We booked a two BR specifically because we needed it with little kids in tow. Instead we now have two separate rooms across the hall, and AC still does not work. They should know, because the new rooms have window units and non functioning wall controls. The original room just had a non functioning wall control. It is finally kinda warm this week, and I am miserable with a toddler. RUN FROM THIS PLACE. Even with a "working" window AC this room is hot as hell and I know I am not going to sleep well after a really long day.It is also very dirty. I could live with it being run down so long as the AC works. But since it does not....Did I mention they offered me a fan instead of a new room at first? Twice?? Ugh this place is horrible and I almost wish we had just camped in our minivan or something.Rooms: Nasty and hot

Very disappointed with the room (2 bed + sofa bed on 1st floor). Renovations are LONG overdue.The sofa and armchair had worn, torn upholstery. The carpets were pulling away from the transitions to tile. The closet door was broken. The bed skirts were ripped and had all kinds of stains. How hard or costly is it to replace bedskirts???The tile floors have not been well cleaned, proven not only by grime grout, but also well-set dust & dirt in corners. The cleaning may hit high-touch areas (I hope!) but definitely does not emphasize deep cleaning weekly.

Horribly FILTHY. I was there w a so I couldn't leave or I would definitely not have stayed. I slept on top of the bed. The sheets were dirty. There were ROACHES, big ones and babies. The tub had hairs in it. I had no hand soap for the sink. I went to desk and he gave me a travel shampoo to wash my hands with. Breakfast was decent. The elevators smelled terrible and have dirt caked in the tracks. The microwave was filthy. The fridge smelled horrible and was also dirty. The carpet smelled awful. I am hoping that I won't be forced to stay here again with my business travel.

I'll cover the positives first. The hotel is in a good location, within a couple miles of everything downtown and not far from all the tourist attractions. The front desk staff was friendly. The complimentary breakfast was good and had hot and cold options to please everyone.... waffles, eggs, breakfast meat, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, etc. And, it was kept well stocked during a very busy time due to a large convention involving kids going on while we were there. It would be nice if they added a second toaster cause your food got cold waiting in line to use the 1 toaster they had. The pool and hot tub were nice, but the pool towels supplied are the size of a bath mat.My negatives.....Check-in is at 3:00, our room wasn't ready till 5:15. We reserved a 2 bedroom suite, which was a really nice option so our grandkids could have a separate bedroom and their own bathroom. However, the room really needs some upgrades. The furniture is very old, outdated, and worn, and the kitchenette table legs were so wobbly I wouldn't let my grandkids sit at it. The thermostat in our room didn't work, but fortunately, it was cool enough outside that we could open the windows. The front desk did bring us a fan to use if needed. Most of the doors in the room were broke or damaged but that's just a minor complaint. Overall, we would stay here again because I love the potential that those 2 bedroom suites could have. They would be really nice with just a few minor upgrades. Also, there is no room service. It would have been nice to get clean towels during our 3 night stay, and there were no ice machines.Rooms: The 2 bedroom suite has a lot of potential with some upgrades. It was supposed to be a queen and 2 doubles but it was actually 3 double beds. Nice to have a fridge in the room and 2 bathrooms.Nearby activities: You are in close proximity to Rock City, Ruby Falls, the aquarium etc.

HORRIBLE!!! This is hands down the worst hotel I have ever been in. It is FILTHY from the lobby through the hallways to the room. The carpet looks as though it has not been vacuumed in weeks. The entire building reeks of an odor that can only be described as a combination of stale smoke and damp gym clothes. There are no coat hangers in the “closet”, which is comprised of a plastic DIY rack. There is no counter space for toiletries, but a wire bin with a stained, dirty plastic top. There are no plastic cups in the bathroom, which is reminiscent of a 1970’s slasher movie. All of the furniture is cheap and rundown. I dare not use the shower/tub for fear it has not been properly disinfected. I am covering the toilet in paper for obvious reasons. I rated this place a one star since I do not have the option to assign a negative value to this dump.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! Staff are friendly and the room was huge for the price, it included a microwave, fridge, and the bedroom is separated from the living area. We only stayed for one day but this place would be perfect for a longer trip. For the price, this hotel is really nice. Id say its even worth more. The only thing is that if youre planning to stay here to explore downtown you will definitely have to drive around, because its a little far from the actual downtown area (like the bridge, aquarium, restaurants and etc.) so keep that in mind. We personally didnt mind finding parking though. Overall id def stay here again

Great little hotel! We were there for a gymnastics competition so it was super convenient. The room was lovely, had great space, nice hot tub, and the people at the front desk were very helpful and kind! Would definitely recommend.

Great deal but I guess you get the deal by lack of employees. Took forever to get someone at front desk. I was there 5 days and no one touched my room. When I mentioned it to the desk their response was "ahhh sorry bout that" I guess that what I will say when I choose to not stay here again. Thanks. Slowest elevator in history too. Hallways smelled like weed .Safety: Homeless sleeping on sidewalk of hotel

Save your money and stay somewhere else! When we arrived well past check in our room wasn't ready, the clerk said they would call us when ready after refusing to allow us to use the pool with 4 kids who had been in the car for 4 hours, they didn't call, we waited 2 hours and came back and surprise it was ready. The kitchen didn't have most of the things needed to prepare a meal, the table in the dining area we were scared to touch as it was so wobbly it looked like it was going to fall at any minute, when we opened the sofa bed it was dirty with crumbs and such, the beds were so hard the floor may have been more comfy, most of the beverage options in the breakfast area were unavailable and what was available was flat because of the lack of ice on the ice machine. To top all that off the hottub was freezing cold our whole stay with all the staff acting like they didn't have a clue even though they were informed last night. Needless to say we won't be back, our money would have been spent better elsewhere

Staybridge inns have always been a favorite of ours, when it is in our budget. From our stay, so far, this location even better. Beautiful layout, quiet despite downtown. There is a $9 parking fee...which we kind of expected. Very classy and well put together front desk staff and location.Rooms: Beautiful room layout. This time it's 1 bedroom suite with kitchen.Walkability: It's downtown, so that goes without saying, in terms of ability to get out walk places.

Room was AWESOME ?. Loved it, wish I could have stayed longer, next time I will.I & my Husband are disabled and our room just happen to be handicapped accessible. I'm glad we were able to ride our bikes in instead of our canes & walkers & sometimes the wheelchair. Thanks for a great stay??? can't wait to stay there again ?Rooms: Spacious & cleanHad all amenities forks, knives, dishes, pots & pans including a dishwasher & fridge with ice maker.Bed was so comfy & the.shower felt great ? ?Walkability: Couple blocks from the free electric shuttle that can take you around downtown. Walking distance to just about anything downtown.
