Walked in 15 minutes to close, frazzled from a long day. I had my 3 children with me and we were looking for the photo memory boxes. We found them and bought 4 of them. At checkout I was still frazzled and just scatter-brained in general, and not wanting to really make eye contact with anyone because I still have Bell's Palsy on my face and not wanting anymore strange looks from people regarding the droopy side of my face. But a very nice associate named Ryan helped me check out. His light wasn't on so I didn't even know his register was open so I actually walked right past him until he said he could help me over at his register, and I thought "thank goodness" because the other register that had a light on didn't have anyone standing behind it and I was feeling anxious that they were about to close. Ryan had the biggest smile and didn't seem bothered at all by the hot mess that is me, or by the fact that I was checking out close to their closing time. I stuck my card in the card reader and was just standing there looking at the big white screen above the register because, as I said, I'm a hot mess. Ryan kindly suggested, "is the card reader asking you to do anything?", at which point I came back to earth and realized I had to enter my debit card number. I hit myself on the forehead and apologized, and Ryan cheerfully said it was just one of those nights. I told him I am a hot mess and he said "it's ok, I don't judge", at which point I thought, "I judge myself for being such a mess." Anyway, long story long, Ryan made me feel better about being a human. Thank you, Ryan! You guys should give him a raise!
