This animal shelter is amazing! It's incredible how the staff cares for so many animals with such love and compassion – it's truly not an easy task! I was so impressed by how well the animals were looked after. Adopting a rescue animal is incredibly rewarding, and it's important to remember that the staff are doing their best to help these animals find loving homes. They deserve our patience and understanding throughout the adoption process. These animals deserve a loving home and a second chance. The staff here are doing such important work, and they deserve our support and respect.
Adopting my two boys, Pickles (formerly Fred) and Wasabi (formerly Cut), was the best decision ever! They weren't from the same litter, but they're now the most adorable, inseparable brothers. ❤️
It's true that some animals might have health issues, but that's a risk at any shelter. My boys had a minor intestinal issue and an eye infection, easily fixed by our vet. Just be sure to get your new pets checked out, especially if you have other animals at home.
I'm so grateful to this shelter for giving these sweet animals a chance. The world needs more places like this! Thank you to the amazing, compassionate staff!"

The amazing care and attention they give to the animals couldn’t ask for a better place for the little babies when I normally go to a shelter I’m covered in tears but when I come to a facility like this place it gives me hope that these animals are at a great place to find a forever home they work sooo hard to help them find their forever ❤️?

Thank you for taking the dog I found on the side of the highway at short notice. I hope he finds his forever home.

Thank you for our special little guy. Our daughter loves her new best friend. She named him Todd. You will remember him as Curly. He is absolutely precious and the most loving little kitty. He's definitely a biscuit maker even when he's just walking around. He meets us at the door every day when we come home. He's been such a delightful part of our family now.

The atmosphere is not very friendly at all. They are very restrictive on the pets is not a very inviting atmosphere. it feels like you’re going to a prison to see an inmate. not to shelter to rescue a dog that could be part of a family. i’m giving them two stars because the place is very clean, but that’s also probably because people don’t really go there.

Walked in, had to wait a few minutes, even with people walking by, before anyone said anything to us. Said we had to fill out a long application just to look at the animals. Filled it out, waited a few minutes, said they would be with us shortly, waited about 10-15 minutes with no one checking on us or letting us know anything so we left.
Has a very corporate feel. Ended up adopting from McKamey AC instead & had a great experience with them.

We have people dumping animals on a daily basis. We have people dumping animals AND running them over on camera. Humane Society is not concerned about any of that, while their shelter is busting at the seams. Instead they're more concerned about a dog sprinting through someone's yard to get to his own. This place is a joke and an embarrassment at best. We will now withdraw our generous donations every year, and seek a program that actually does something other than waste time and resources.

I was a volunteer here in a low point in my life when I met my future dog Terry (known as Joust in the shelter) 6 years ago. This place is truly magical and inspirational for what they do for animals. Please consider volunteering or adopting here!

I took a very sick (respiratory & eye infections) stray kitty into this place after McKamey refused to help him. Well, bc this kitty was found in McKamey's district, they said no. Like it's the cat's fault he was found in the wrong area, and the shelter district he's in won't help. Are you kidding me?! What is wrong with you people?! Sorry isn't going to save this cat's life! SHAME ON YOU!
I think of you the same way I feel about McKamey now (read the review I left for McKamey, and I think you'll figure it out).

We adopted Addie, our sweet boxer from the humane society yesterday! They made it an easy process! I had already done the adoption application online! Gotten the call yesterday morning to go over it! Then went to meet the dogs, we had 2 picks we were interested in seeing, but were open to other suggestions, the first pick we didn't see as he wasn't a good fit for homes with children because of his size, so we met our 2nd pick Addie! A boxer! She was love at first sight! A perfect fit for our family! What a blessing to bring this sweet girl into our lives ! I urge anyone whom is thinking about getting a pet, to adopt from a shelter and not buy from breeders! The feeling of knowing you are giving this dog a life , and the life this new dog/cat gives you can't be matched! We love our Addie! She's a perfect fit!

Great experience! I found myself a big fur baby! Russell is currently laying under the bed and occasionally wandering around the house.
Very friendly staff, helpful and kind as well. I will definitely go back when I decide to add to my little family!

Don’t take your animals to this place they will keep your happy dog against your will and then put it down

The hours of adoption state noon to 5pm. My friend and I showed up to adopt a cat for her daughter’s birthday and we were denied at 4:27pm. We called multiple times from noon to 4pm and no one answered the phone to go over the details of adoption. Two associates were sitting at the front desk and neither were helpful. I do not recommend going here as placing animals for adoption does not seem to be a priority.
