Every time I go to this specific Express, I’m impressed by the cleanliness and customer engagement here (I’ve been to many that were not so consistent in this regard). Lots of positive energy and I’m able to feel connected to every single employee; everyone is always very helpful without being overbearing. Such perfect balance. 10/10

UPDATE. There has been no outreach from the SM Hunter or from Express HO. Apparently Hunter just likes to speak negatively about the review and concerns. VS manage his store and try to improve. Extremely disappointing in this location and professionalism.I have shopped at Express for the last 16 years and really enjoy coming into the Chattanooga location to see Kita! She knows my style and it’s always able to direct me and getting exactly what I’m looking for where I’m in and out very quickly and making sure that I always hit the sales.I came into the store and she was off. I forgot my coupons and asked one of the guys if it was a problem or if I needed to come back when I had my coupons. He said no not a problem that they can pull it up and he had the other couponthat I had forgotten at home in store. So I continued shopping. And whenever I went to try to find some editor pants, he had stepped out on break. So I started talking with Lola. She was extremely unhelpful. I asked if there were any shorts vs reg length. She said no she would just order them. I told her no I could do that myself. Considering she didn’t even walk to the back and look. I’m well aware that most of your editor pants you have short regular and long in store. Her lack of effort was extremely frustrating. When I said, I would order them online, she told me the only way for me to get free shipping was for her to order them. Which I also know is a lie. as long as I spend a certain dollar amount I will always get free shipping. Along with if I have them sent to the store it’s free shipping. I told her I would wait on the pants and I would just get the jacket and the pants that they did have in my size now. Since she wasn’t originally who I was talking with, I mentioned the coupons that I forgot and that I was told I didn’t need them because they could look them up and there was one in store that could be used. Another employee was at the counter, who had been there when the other gentleman was helping me originally. Both of them were extremely friendly. I believe her name was Ansley , when she proceeded to ring me up, she was giving me a hard time about the coupons. And Ansley even stepped in and told her what she couldn’t couldn’t use. We’re Lola then said no she wasn’t going to do that. Making everything extremely awkward. I felt extremely uncomfortable making my purchase. And she wasn’t even going to give me the discount of the 10% off. For the coupon that I was missing along with another coupon that I had that I had also forgotten. Ansley was trying to help but Lola wouldn’t allow it making it even more awkward. And honestly that conversation and how Lola was responding to the employee trying to help was was completely inappropriate to be having on the sales for and definitely in front of a customer! I am a manager of another high-end retail store in the mall. And I would be mortified if I found out that this conversation was happening by my employees on the sales floor. I even asked because I felt so uncomfortable if the cell was going on all weekend and I would just come back. Lola then stayed at a very generic answer again that was not helpful stating she doesn’t know when the sales was ending. I know that you guys have two sale changes a week. And this one had just started. The likelihood of it not going the whole weekend is under 5%. . After Lola took her sweet time ringing me up and me not convinced that the pricing was right. She walked away and I just looked at the other associate and said I don’t know if I want to return this or if I should just come back and get it rerung at a later date. And she told me that I should definitely come back and get it rerun.I would highly suggest finding better associates and making sure they are trained along with just understanding store etiquette on how to speak to their coworkers in front of customers. Along with maybe answering questions, a little bit more friendly, and making sure that they actually answer the question versus give generic roundabout answers that just irritate customers.

I’d like to say our Express at Hamilton Place has the best customer service. Kita and McKennae assisted me in finding the outfits for my trip and reminding me of my rewards. They made me feel like a VIP customer. Thank you both for your smiles and kindness. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Went in there 15 minutes before close with my fiancée after both of us got out of work. We knew exactly what we were looking for and requested dressing rooms. A nice young lady put the broom down about to walk towards the dressing rooms for us , as a tall young white man looked at us up and down and said the dressing rooms are closed. I feel like that speaks for itself. Thanks express for that amazing feeling ??

great store! i went with my mom and was greeted by a very nice person with long brown hair. the customer service was great and i found something nice for a wedding i’m going to. the store was clean and easy to navigate.will shop again!

My husband and I came to buy some outfits for a wedding.. We were struggling at first because we couldn't find the right sizes. Well one of the workers there went above and beyond to make our experience one of the best I had at express ever. Her name is Trinity and she was amazing. She helped my husband order a shirt that will come in time for the wedding. She also helped me find shoes to complete my outfit there.. and to top it off I know they were busy at that store but she literally took her time and showed me how to use the coupons and we ended up getting him a suit, me a dress .. bunch of jewelry, shoes and we got a great deal with her help. Also I over heard the other employees needing someone to stay later at the store and no one really wanted to but she stepped up and volunteered to stay. Trinity at express deserves a raise... because now days you do not come across these kind of people working in the retail business. Trinity I hope you read this review, you are awesome girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!
